Alright. So here we go. Been in trade talks for a week with the Godwin owner, for my team in sig. Here is what we have come down to:

Give: DJ Moore/Andrews/Early 2020 1st/mid to late 2020 1st

Get: Chris Godwin/Early 2020 2nd

Now, important things to note. This is a salary cap league, $200 for 35-40 roster spots. Godwin is on a 4 year contract for only $2. He will be incredibly cheap his entire career. I can resign him in three years and he will only cost me $4. I can resign him again after another three years and he would only cost $8.

DJ Moore is currently on my bench and is at $5. I will have to resign him after this year and he will be $10. While Godwin is $8, Moore will eventually cost $20 to keep.

Now the other top WR's, guys like Hopkins, OBJ, Julio, MT, Adams.... they are anywhere from $32-$46, and on 1-3 year contracts. So Godwin's contract is as good as it gets, especially for a top tier guy.

DJ Moore has been on my bench all year, Andrews is also on my bench, as I have Kittle signed to a 4 year deal. I'm about to trade for a fourth 2020 1st. So with giving away these two 1sts, I'll still have 2 2020 1sts. The 2020 2nd is currently the 2.01, so 11th overall. Leaving me with three picks in the top 11 currently.

I won the championship last year, and I'm in first place again this year, in points and record. Godwin would slot in at my flex, over Woods, and I think he puts me over the top for another championship this year, plus I would have him for cheap for the rest of his career.

All thoughts would be appreciated! What does everyone think? There is really no further countering, this has been going on for a week and he's hesitant to sell Godwin because of his age and contract, so this is the least he is willing to move him for.

I would have no problem giving that for Godwin

Seems like a heavy price to pay, but I think Godwin is the real deal and locking him up could be huge. The salaries seem to really help you long term if you make this deal, but I have no experience there. Also, if this puts you over the top again, I would make the deal. Sometimes paying up for a title is well worth it.

I ended up making the trade. All thoughts still welcomed though.

Seems like a 2020 1st too much imo, but I'm also a Moore truther. The salary on Godwin definitely helps balance the trade a bit, but still seems like an overpay.

In a regular dynasty league, that's too much for Godwin.

In a Salary Cap league with those respective contracts, I think it's a solid price to pay. I would have tried to take out the early 1st and replaced it with another mid/late 1st, trying to sell the other owner on Andrews' presumably cheap contract balancing out Godwin's cheap contract.

I tried... That would have been nice. But I still have a 2020 early 1st and I still have three picks in the top 11 currently.
