Chase Edmunds Value

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Chase Edmunds Value

Postby BucBuc » Mon Oct 21, 2019 6:44 am

I feel like I missed my window I could've had Edmunds for a late 2020 2nd and now this crazy owner wants a 1st.... Just getting a temperature check on his value

Literally worst time to buy, hes back two solid games and now a huge blow up game. I like his talent, and he could proceed DJ, or atleast hold onto a timeshare. But maybe wait until his bye week, since he plays top 5 rush defenses the next 4 games. He just finished playing the Bengals, Falcons, and Giants, some of the worst defenses in the league.

I would not pay more then a 3rd. He is a huge gamble and Johnson will get healthy.

That said - I would easily move a mid 2nd for him. A 1st is too much, but a 2nd and throw in player I'd be happy with. Edmonds is a good player, and has 3 down ability, in Arizona's offense he is an elite handcuff, with flex appeal even with DJ playing.

I'd pay a 2nd, but definitely not a 1st right now.

I'd say early 2nd. Edmonds has looked good and could be at least the 1A in a productive ARI offense when Johnson is out, though Johnson is under contract for a couple more years.

He looks to me like another Austin Ekeler, who is still underrated. Hold him, and Ekeler as they could both blow up if given the top job.

I offered someone S. Shepard for Edmonds and a 16 team devy mid-2nd rounder last week (before the big game) and got shot down and told it was not even close.
Guy involved is a complete con artist (typical industry writer) though so not sure that is a good measure of value.

I think you're looking at a situation where those who have him want a first but most people aren't willing to give that at this point. So, he will probably stay put in most leagues until he cools down or has more success.

Edmonds' value = early 2nd, though I couldn't blame his owners for holding even at that cost.

Either they own DJ and have Edmonds as his handcuff, which is looking very valuable right now, or they're likely a believer in his talent and are salivating after watching his performances in 3 straight games.

Tough guy to buy really.
