Trade for AP?

Thinking of trading for AP as a contender.

Have an offer on the table of Pollard and a 21 3rd for AP. I thought Pollard would be used more alongside Zeke, but he seems to be strictly a handcuff right now, with no stand alone value. I know Pollard probably has a little more dynasty value, because he is younger, but is he worth keeping when he may never turn out to be anything? And the 3rd isn’t a huge deal to me, because I have 5 picks in 21, so I was going to have to trade 1-2 anyway.

Worth it or will Guice/ Love be back at some point this year? And are we certain that Guice stays healthy when he is back?

AP is averaging 7 ppg. I don't think he's someone I'd go after if I'm competing and needed depth at the position. He had one good game last week against the worst team/defense in the league. His next 3 games are against the 49ers, Vikings, and Bills (all very good defenses, especially against the run). Guice is expected back at some point. I don't know if he'll stay healthy, but if he does, AP's value will be lower than it already is.

Pay a little more and go after a better RB if you're truly trying to compete.

Ew no. Pollard >> Peterson

1. Peterson is barely flex-worthy given how bad WAS is. Don't be fooled by one good game vs MIA. Guice is also expected to return in the coming weeks, further eating into Peterson's value.

2. Pollard is a top-5 handcuff with RB1 upside if Elliott were to miss time. I'd much rather have him over Peterson. And even if you're going to trade Pollard, wait until after this week. Reports are that Pollard is going to be used as a receiver a lot vs PHI.

Id think a 3rd alone would be enough for AP

Haven’t seen the reports about Pollard being used as a receiver. Not that I don’t believe you, but where did you see that at? All I’ve saw is reporters debating that he needs to be used more and not that he will be.

Guess I didn’t think it was that far off, but maybe it is. Guess I didn’t really do my research on both players, because AP has scored only 3 more points than Pollard in my league, despite being the starting RB.

Wouldn't move Pollard for AP... even more so if I have Zeke

Thanks everyone. Guess I was blinded by that MIA game and the fact that WAS wants to run the ball, so I thought AP was a good trade for depth. Think I will just stay put, unless he wants to take a 3rd.

Good lord why? He is averaging like 3ppg when not playing the dolphins. I can't imagine ever wanting to start him unless you're trying to tank.
