Which side in trade

Team 2, in rebuild.

In talks with Hunter owner. He would move Hunter + 2020 2nd for a mid 2020 1st.

His 2nd will likely be anywhere from 11 to 13 overall. So I'd prolly move the 1.05 or so for Hunter + #11-13 overall. Thoughts?

Great value if you can make the deal. Hunter Henry when healthy could be a top 3 TE with how often SD uses Tight Ends.

I agree i full...the only hang-up is his injury history, and the fact that I have Hock.

So the way we have it structured is that my 1st and his 2nd would be conditional at the end of season. I have six 1st's and he has two 2nd's. He would get the highest 1st in the 1.05+ range (I would keep my top 4 firsts, which will very likely be 1.01 through 1.04) and I would get his highest 2nd (prolly 2.01 to 2.03).

So, the likely worst outcome is that I still have 5 1sts (top 4, plus a mid) and I move one mid first back from 1.05 to 2.03 (8 spots) and get Hunter for my troubles.

Hunter Henry’s nickname should be breakable. I don’t want to buy him.

Imo this only solidifies me wanting Henry here. I think what it costs you is minimal, and if he gets hurt again and can't play, it doesn't sink you. If he becomes the next Kittle, you just made out like a bandit.

no way in hell and my god these responses are appalling to me lol.

the short sighted nature of people on this forum and quick reactions to big games is alarming as hell.

you have hock and stern at TE and are a rebuild, you are good at te. no need to buy a guy who is unavailable often and has a handful of pretty good games and jeopardize giving up a major piece to your build. you will feel silly as hell if you have 3 solid te next year and none stand out and then your pick end up being 1.04 and you miss on a stud.

So you are essentially just moving back a bit in the rookie draft and getting a potentially great TE? Give me Henry and the pick all day.

I hear you on the TE and injury issues, which is why I was posting here. Just to clarify though, the pick he will get will be 1.05 at best. While I know projecting picks is often challenging, the 6 firsts that I currently have are the six worst teams in the league and the top 4 are starting to pull away. It's very likely that I will have picks 1.01, 1.02, 1.03, and 1.04, and I told them that they are off limits. The highest he will get would be 1.05, and I would then get his best 2nd (2.01 to 2.03). Just wanted to clarify in case that changes your thoughts any (or not...appreciated ether way!)

Yes I'm essentially moving back 8 spots (at worst, from 1.05 to 2.03) and getting Hunter to do so.

The value is probably on the Hunter side right now, but I think a mid 1st during the offseason would carry more weight and will get you a better asset in a trade.
