Landing Kupp, but price not cheap

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

It must have changed because I thought it was two firsts and Sutton, which is too much. One first and Sutton is about fair.

Not sure, maybe Lock. Whoever it is probably won't be worse than Flacco and Sutton is doing fine right now. Obviously not Kupp levels but every week starter.
Team 1: Single qb tiered ppr league 22 man base roster plus 2 taxi squad spots and 2 IR spots; 2 flex:
Qb: B. Mayfield, J. Goff, J. Winston
Rb: J. Mixon, CEH, J.K. Dobbins, K. Hunt, K. Johnson, G. Bernard, G. Edwards, L. Bowden
Wr: Aj Brown, O. Beckham, C. Kupp, C. Sutton, J. Reagor, T. Higgins, M. Pittman
TE: D. Goedert, Jonnu Smith, Mike Gesicki, OJ Howard, H. Bryant, C. Herndon
2022: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

Team 2: SF/TE Premium PPR league 22 man roster start 2 rb, 2 wr, 2 flex (not including SF spot):
Qb: Fields, Lance, M. Jones, J. Goff
Rb: J. Mixon, A. Ekeler, T. Etienne, D. Henderson, D. Evans, J. White, J. Doaks
Wr: DJ Moore, Juju, Sutton, R. Bateman, E. Moore, B. Edwards, J. Meyers, B. Perriman
TE: M. Andrews, A. Trautman, G. Everett
2021: 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th

Value is fine for late 1 and Sutton but for a rebuild o wouldn’t trade Sutton and the 1. Kupp is benefiting greatly from lots of checkdowns. In the ideal rams offense (if they can ever get back to it) he is certainly still very productive but I personally don’t think he’s close to his productive long term.

I think you are misremembering just how good Kupp was last season( in the ideal Rams offense)before his injury. Before the wk 6 game where he left early with the knee injury he was averaging 21.02 ppg in full ppr. So through 5 games in 2018 he was a top 10 fantasy wr . This year he is averaging 23.4 through 5 weeks. Wasn’t the ideal Rams offense in place weeks 1-5 in 2018? If so 21 ppg is still okay with me. Makes him a WR1 no doubt.

Goff hasn't looked great this year and Kupp's still killing it. But the Goff we know is still better than the Lock (or whomever) we don't know.

My question with that team is why are you trading for a WR? It's your best position. You need a starting QB and a couple of RBs. My advice? See if you can get somebody to pay full sticker for OBJ and start your rebuild that way. I love Kupp, but your team doesn't need him.

late 1st and Sutton is not an overpay for Kupp, whose value is at its peak.

If you wanted to acquire him cheap, you should have grabbed him last year when he was hurt or this off-season when there were still questions about his recovery.

He had a great rookie year, was a stud for half a year last year before injury and is a true stud so far this year...that is going to cost you Sutton (who I like) and a crapshoot draft pick.

Right and Sutton is WR10 with Flacco, is even worse. My point is that we shouldn't be knocking Sutton due to uncertain QB future. Flacco shouldn't be that hard to replace.
