Late 2020 1st vs OJ Howard

Postby Slackalacker » Sun Sep 29, 2019 10:34 am

Team 1 in sig

The owner of OJ Howard put him on the block. I offered Davis and he wasn’t interested in anything involving him, instead he asked for a 1st for next year. I own both my own (probably mid-late with Barkley injury) and what projects to be likely the 1.10 or at least very late (team is favored to win the championship)

Is OJ Howard worth a late 1st or is there there going to be better value in next years draft?

I think you are in good shape at TE. I would hold the pick. I think Howard is worth a late 1st, but maybe not for your build.

I'd keep the pick. I'd rather roll with TJ Hockenson than OJ Howard. Howard has seemed to disappear in the Bucs offense.

That’s fair thanks for the input everyone. I figured that might be the case, I’m purely trying to decide what to do for future trade value but it seems like 2020 hype may push the 1st to be more valuable by the draft next year

I wouldn't pay a 1st at this point. Not sure I would have even offered Davis...probably lucky he rejected that.

Howard is okay at TE, but certainly not a difference maker. Not ELITE. I would never give up a first except for one of the ELITE TE. Even then the difference to the next tier isn't huge, but is nice.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR
