How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
This involves the team in my signature. Barkley owner and I have been talking some this week. He said he'd be interested in Dalvin plus picks. How many 1sts would you add to Dalvin to get Barkley?

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I'd say 3 firsts. I'd want one to be top 2, the second in the 3-5 range, and the other between the 5-7 range. That's steep, but saquon is all world.

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I'm guessing at least two 1sts is needed. It's an overpay, but an overpay is the only way to land Barkley.
Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I'd start with two and possibly drop a third, or considering how many firsts you have, I'd sit it out for a while and let those picks get more and more valuable. I'm shooting for Barkley for next year.
Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I think three is too much. Honestly I don't see him outscoring Cook by more than 5-6 pts per game, but that is still a huge gap. Also Cook does have the injury risk, but we also won't know how Barkley responds to his first NFL injury so we will see.

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
One early to mid 2020 first is close. Depends on how much you believe in Cook. You may have to give two 1sts to get Barkley. As a Cook owner, there is no way I am giving two firsts on top of him for anyone.

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
i think some ppl are drunk in here. i get that most barkley owners arent selling for more than top value but if i were buying, my top offer would be cook an 1 1st. maybe some other nominal piece if the other guy needs wr or te depth or something. as much as i love barkley, its just not worth it otherwise id rather just keep cook

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
And I, and most Barkley owners, have zero interest in trading him so "equal" value isn't going to get it done, you have to give me an offer I absolutely can't refuse.knotts4372 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 10:10 pm i think some ppl are drunk in here. i get that most barkley owners arent selling for more than top value but if i were buying, my top offer would be cook an 1 1st. maybe some other nominal piece if the other guy needs wr or te depth or something. as much as i love barkley, its just not worth it otherwise id rather just keep cook
In this case the Barkley owner is apparently open to it, so I would open with adding the 2 lowest projected of the 4 1's.

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
and i said i understand that most barkley owners wouldnt sell for just equal value. my comment was basically why bother for barkley at the price you'd need to give, especially right now how well cook is playing and barkley being hurtbjd5211 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 10:40 pmAnd I, and most Barkley owners, have zero interest in trading him so "equal" value isn't going to get it done, you have to give me an offer I absolutely can't refuse.knotts4372 wrote: ↑Fri Sep 27, 2019 10:10 pm i think some ppl are drunk in here. i get that most barkley owners arent selling for more than top value but if i were buying, my top offer would be cook an 1 1st. maybe some other nominal piece if the other guy needs wr or te depth or something. as much as i love barkley, its just not worth it otherwise id rather just keep cook

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I would keep Cook and your 1sts. No need to trade for Barkley.
Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
I wouldn’t give 2-3 1sts on top of Cook. That’s crazy to me

Re: How many 1sts with Dalvin to get Barkley?
With your roster I’d pass. I’m keeping all of the firsts and loading up your roster. If you can hit on 3 out of 5 firsts next year then your team will legit. Also keeping 5 1sts allows you flexibility within the draft when values sky rocket for picks, or you can potentially package picks and move up.

I appreciate all the feedback. I think the most I would add is 2 1sts mid to late. I would only add 1 if it weren't for the injury history with Cook.

Absolutely not a deal I would make for you. You have Mattison who also looks the part and solves the Cook injury risk for you, keep your picks.
