After stocking up on 2020 1sts...

...my team is performing such that I’m considering selling the future and making a run now. This a 10 team keeper league (keep 11), RBs get .25/ppc and 1.5/ppr, WRs are your standard .10/rec yd and 1/ppr.

This is my squad currently:

Dak/Baker (QBs also get great scoring with their runs)
D Cook/D Henry/(looking for 3rd RB)/Guice hopefully coming back for playoffs
T Lockett/ARob/S Diggs/J Brown (BUF)/P Dorsett/J Landry/M Jones
Z Ertz/OJ Howard

I also have D Johnson (PIT) and P Campbell on taxi squad

My 2 RBs have been great and Lockett + J Brown have been awesome ppr WRs. I NEED another RB and I think a stronger WR to really make a run. Undefeated to start and have a couple options:

David Johnson for two late 1sts + P Campbell
P Lindsay for one late 1st + Diggs
K Allen for one late first + late second

I have 3 firsts, so I can afford one RB and K Allen, but which combo is the “best”? DJ and K Allen would clean me out of the 2020 draft class (until/unless I sell in offseason to get back in). P Lindsay would be cheaper, but would the savings be worth it?

You do need a RB but the Keenan Allen trade is a no brainer

That’s a steal for KA. I wouldn’t do the DJ deal and that seems like an overpay for Lindsay even in a PPC league.

I’m also leaning on the Zeke owner for a deal of two 2020 1sts and D Guice...he’s considering since his year has derailed greatly; I would certainly jump on that with the quickness

Circling back to this. The DJ price is too high for me, but I do have the opportunity to get one of 3 RBs for a late 1st and S Diggs (worry not about perceived loss of value, it’s the nature of this league that RBs are simply overvalued and, really, I don’t mind shedding Diggs if it means go for the championship belt we have).

Which of these 3 RBs would you want for rest of season and hopefully next year (.25/ppc and 1.5/ppr):

I'd drop what you're doing and take that Keenan Allen IMMEDIATELY. I paid the ranch for him in my first year of my rebuild and haven't looked back. As to your last question, give me Ingram. He's the obvious favorite for this year, Lindsay is in an inexplicable time share despite being the far better back, and Freeman was being outplayed by Ito Smith before the latter picked up his concussion. Ride Ingram to glory.

This is a good thought and something I’m having to come to grips with in the different approach to keeper league vs full dynasty. I didn’t expect to make a push this year, but I feel I have a good enough base and the required assets to do so now. I am still so invested in the “2020 class is amaze-balls!” that I’m having trouble surrendering all those picks.

So it’s down to this:

Two 1sts for David Johnson (and keep Diggs)

-or-

One 2020 1st & 3rd plus Diggs for M Ingram or P Lindsay (and retain one 2020 1st for next year's class or another purchase later this year)

I’m leaning Ingram, final decision in an hour
