This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Build around 2020 Draft??

Postby BucBuc » Thu Sep 19, 2019 12:03 pm

Two 2020 1st and 3 2020 2nds and 3rd
The 1st 2nd 3rd are from same owner and hes complete dust( he'll be last for sure) long story short I'll have 2 top 3 1st round picks and 3 top 5 2nd round picks. With my specific team build should I just legit smash this 2020 rookie draft or move picks for assets?

I would sell your assets for picks, smash the draft. Wait for Evans to have a good week or for teams to get desperate during a bye week and sell.

I think they have similar value, so the added 1st would make me say yes. But if that was offered to you, perhaps you could get more, but I like that offer.

Evans is better than Engram but I still think it’s fair considering the emergence of Godwin.

No.

Evans was solidly around 3 1sts in value before the season started and emergence of Godwin or not, he is still a WR in his prime coming off 4 straight 1,000 yard seasons. He is worth more than a 2020 1st, especially if you already have the locked in 2020 1.01.

BRUHHH.... that is not how you dynasty sorry. I hate when people try to build a team off like 6 1st rounders it NEVER works. Love the class, I think 2 2020 1sts is solid. If anything I would consolidate your 2020 2nds and some side players for 1 more first, but thats it. Evans is a stud in his prime and just turned 26. He literally will play for 5 more years, and is basically like a younger AJG imo for dynasty purposes. Dude has 5 straight 1000 yard seasons. Godwin is nice, but he's no Mike Evans. You gotta build around stud WR's like Evans that will hold value over several years, not trade them away.
Dynasty Team 1:

10 Man, Full PPR, .2 PPC, Double Flex

QB: Kyler Murray
RB: Saquon Barkley , Breece Hall, Swift, Dobbins, Gibson, CEH
WR: Devante Adams, Tyreek Hill, Jamarr Chase, DK Metcalf, Devonta Smith, Jerry Jeudy
TE: Travis Kelce

2023 Picks: 1.4, 1.8, 2.9, 3.2, 3.6, 3.8

Dynasty Team 2:

10 Man, Half PPR, Double Flex

QB: Tua
RB: Barkley , Mixon, Javonte, Jacobs, CEH
WR: AJB, Tyreek, Lamb, Aiyuk, Bateman
TE: Kittle

2022 Picks: 1.5, 1.6, 2.3
2023 Picks: 2 x 1st, 2 x 2nd

I always prefer trading picks for proven assets, but I'm not sure this is the time to do that. The value of those picks are nowhere near their peak and would sell them off during the offseason when rookie fever is at its' height.

So do u guys think he should keep Evans or sell... I'm all in favor of him stacking picks as a buy low, sell high later kinda thing, but I 100% do not think selling Evans is the way to go. How many stud WRs developed in the last 5 years... not many . RBs come all the time. 2017 had like 6-7 studs itself....

Yeah your right man I need to build around Evans and just hit on these picks next year or trade in offseason when everyone gets pick fever...Thanks again everyone this is my 1st Dynasty and imma try to do it right...I'll definitely be asking more questions later

Keep Evans. Wait to sell off. If you sell or buy it will depend in what you can get. I'd want a qb3 and rbs. I'm not sure you have enough ammo to get all of those. It may be better to sell off some of your assets in a couole weeks for 2929 and 2021 picks
