LeVeon Bell for Josh Jacobs

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

LeVeon Bell for Josh Jacobs

Postby Matt1975 » Thu Sep 19, 2019 11:08 am

In a nutshell I wanted to reject this offer without thought. But I think I can win this year. In a PPR league is Bell > Jacobs this year? And is it worth the upgrade this year for a long term loss?

IMO Bell is > Jacobs for now and the next couple years although a 6 year difference would make me consider Jacobs over bell in a big rebuild.

In a rebuild, I would take Jacobs pretty easily. I still like Bell a bit more for the next couple years. Bell is the intire offense.

Jacobs looks worrisome for PPR leagues thus far - but that could admittedly change. I can see Bell easily outproducing him for the next 3 seasons. Personally, I trust myself to take the guy who is the clear cut better producer, knowing that I'll work hard to get young backs in the pipeline as well.

I get why this looks better to some based on dynasty value and the projected swing in value as Bell gets older.
But the goal is to win games and I don't see a path for Jacobs to ever put up the type of numbers Bell is putting up now.

Bell outscored Jacobs last week just based on his reception points in PPR (not including any of his 170+ total yards) and Jacobs had a very nice rushing game.
