Didn't think I'd be asking this question this time last year, but here we are.
Team in sig. With an RB core of Bell/DJ/Chubb + WR depth to fill out my flex for injuries/bye weeks, Gurley is sadly starting to feel like an odd man out on my team. I don't think I will need him that badly moving forward, and so now I'm just viewing him as a possible trade option for longer-term value. I feel like I could get a 2020 1st + 2021 1st from one team at the moment.
I think the risk here is that it's hard to tell where those picks will end up. Personally I think his team is below average for a 10-team league (even if you added Gurley to it), but it's certainly got firepower when his RBs are healthy and firing on all cylinders. There are two teams that are absolute garbage this year, so I'd project 1.03-1.06 for 2020, and just about anywhere for 2021.
So what do you think? Is early-mid 2020 1st + random 2021 1st fair value for Gurley? Anything that should be added to either side?
Directly below is HIS (NOT MINE ) team, for reference. With Gurley added in there as an idea of what his team would look like.
QB: Brady, Garoppolo, Minshew
RB: Kamara, Mixon, Gurley, Ekeler, Hunt, AP, C Thompson
WR: ARob, Kupp, Kirk, Fitzgerald, DJax, Pettis, Ross, Hurd
TE: Delanie
K: McManus (usually doesn't stream)
DEF: Denver (usually doesn't stream)
And further below (in the sig) is MY team.

Re: Trade away Gurley for two 1st's?
I would still hold him in case of injury. He will still put up solid RB2 numbers which could be helpful throughout the season since you are a contender.
Re: Trade away Gurley for two 1st's?
I don't think you're getting a better offer than that. If the 1st was definitely early, I'd take it. I'm not sure you can compete even if you kept him with those WRs, so wouldn't blame you for getting out a year early than waiting and possibly being too late.
EDIT:
My bad, I was looking at the other owners team...your team is definitely competitive. I still think you can compete without Gurley, but it's definitely closer with your build.

Re: Trade away Gurley for two 1st's?
Is there a way you could get Engram or Kittle and a 2021 1st? That might leave you competitive and upgrade your te and get some future firepower.
Or try for Mike Evans on a slight dip?
Or Diggs and a 1st?
All those would help you out I think.

Thanks Gator Sens. I gotta say, you da real MVP in the Team Advice threads I feel like I always see you in here helping people out, and pretty quickly too. Like you're consistently the first or second guy to comment whenever I post on here lol. Anyway thanks for always being helpful.Gator Sens wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:20 pm I would still hold him in case of injury. Appreciate it. FYI, I hope you were mistaking his team for mine lol. I posted his team for reference (to give an idea of where his picks might end up), but my team is in the sig further below.Goddard wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:27 pm I don't think you're getting a better offer than that. Either that or you're very low on my WRs!

Looks like we have the same thought process on who to aquire though. Lol.
It could go either way with your actual team. I guess i would sell and then overpay for someone if you are beset by injury.

Re: Trade away Gurley for two 1st's?
That's a good way to look at it. Even if I end up missing Gurley, a lot of my league is thirsty for future 1st's so I'd likely have some good options if I needed a win-now piece later.SteveMaddensShoes wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 2:42 pm Looks like we have the same thought process on who to aquire though. I'd take the picks. Sadly
