Got an offer on the table from a team to trade a 2020 1st to me, in exchange for Kerryon Johnson. It's likely to be a top 5, at worst top 7 pick.
Although the Lions cutting CJ Anderson helps him, I'm still not sure I see Johnson as being a potential top 10 elite back any time soon, and with the quality of RB's in the 2020 class, it is appealing.
I also have Bell, Chubb, Mixon and the Chiefs backfield as RB options, so currently he's not a starter for me. What would you do, is it selling too light on him?

I would take the pick based on the potential of it being early. I like Johnson a lot, but of late historically, the Lions don't produce real solid RB's. It could be there system?

I'm in the same boat, with an offer to receive a mid 1st for Johnson but I'm a bit unsure. My plan is to see how things shake out this week w/o CJ and then decide. Would you post your final decision here please.

Past doesn't always equal prologue and he clearly has the talent to be a top tier RB with his running and receiving skills. That's what you're looking for with a high first round pick, if the pick hits.
