Need advice on how to proceed

Hey I’m founder and Co-commissioner for this league. One of my strategies which sometimes rubs people the wrong way but also works occasionally at the same time is to offer large packages for targeted assets. We don’t have trade reviews, we don’t vote, we don’t veto. Everyone pays and can run their team however they want. With that said I sent the following trade offer and now kinda regret doing it since it was accepted solely for the fact I feel like it’s a bad deal for the other guy.

Offered: Antonio Brown, D Parker C Conely, M Davis and all 2022 picks

For: Diggs and Lockett

I do have to pay in advance for those picks. I haven’t done that yet nor had the trade been pushed through. In reality no one knows it’s there but me and the other guy. However I feel like this is a bad deal for this guy and this is solely a personal conscious thing. Not a league violation or anything. I feel like this trade will hurt this team more than help that is already in a serious rebuild.

Thoughts??

Dummy shouldn't have accepted, but AB is probably going to be fine (if he keeps his nose clean from here on) and maybe he gets something good out of those picks. He'll learn or leave.

I'd take the AB side.

You sure you aren't regretting it for yourself? Haha

What are the picks?

Well the question is whether or not you believe week 1 is an anomaly or not. Hey maybe we're seeing AB going to a dominant offense and going to put up a season like Moss's first with the pats.

Conly will get junk time points like the arob bortles days, Mike Davis will be the rb1 in Chicago, and picks are picks.

Meanwhile diggs is now in an offense where they are going to run 75% of the time and split targets with theilin and possibly a te. Then you have lockett who has somehow managed to score on an insanely high percentage of his catches. Can he keep this up? Maybe. But he's still on a team that should be run first.

While I wouldn't have made i the trade, I can certainly see a narrative where he comes out on top. If you really feel bad offer him an additional asset.

It is a bet on if AB will play because he is better than both those guys. If he plays this year, he wins this deal.

All 2022 picks meaning what? A 1,2,3,4?

If that’s the case this is more than fine. If I’m full rebuild I don’t particularly want to build around Diggs or Lockett.

I don’t know what to make of brown right now, but who knows. Maybe he turns in a moss like season under Brady. Maybe he gets exempt listed and is done with the NFL soon. Maybe dude can flip him in the meantime. Hard to say.

I wouldn’t worry.

Bottom line is I see no reason a commisioner or any kind of gore needs to be in play here.

Option A AB balls out and team A got AB and a plethora of picks

Option B team A rolled the dice on AB and failed miserable. Oh well it happens

The trade is done, push it through.

(I wonder if you're really regretting it more so than worried about the other owner. )

I'd probably take the AB side so you should push it through and cry in 2022 when you don't have any picks.

I see no issue with this trade...Brown has the potential to finish as the no. 1 fantasy WR this year in NE.

That's quite a hot take to sneak in there, sir
