Which player to keep?

This technically isn't for a dynasty league, but rather a 1 keeper league in a PPR re-draft league.

Rules stipulate that you can keep a player for X cost, based on where they were drafted the season prior.

For instance, I drafted Calvin Ridley in the 13th Rd, so he would cost a 10th rd pick this upcoming draft. For anyone selected in round 6 or later, each year it goes up by 3 rounds, so I can keep him for an increased cost for a few extra seasons (10th, 7th, 4th, 1st, then UFA).

I did this with my current keeper, Davonte Adams. He is going to cost me a 4th rd pick this draft, which is a steal.

So with this being said, who do I keep? - Adams for a 4th, or Ridley for a 10th? (Note, I can keep Ridley for cheap for 2 more seasons afterwords).

I like Ridley a lot long term but I think you have to keep Adams here despite what he might cost you in the future.

Agreed. I think keeping Adams for a 4th gives you the best chance to win right now, which is what I want to do in re-draft/keeper leagues.

Thanks guys. This is sort of my train of thought, plus I am a Packers fan so it just makes each TD even more enjoyable. Glad someone talked me away from Ridley, even though he probably will be a stud long term.
