How much should I worry about losing Luck?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

How much should I worry about losing Luck?

Postby davidxhorn » Sat Aug 24, 2019 11:47 pm

Own him in both championship teams below, and am a bit worried about how I should approach the season now.

Should I be trying to acquire better options than Carr (team 1) or Mariota (team 2)? Or should I play a few games and see how the season shakes out before I trade away assets? Pre-retirement, I was definitely in win now mode, especially with Team 1. If I wanted to pursue, how would giving up Tyler Boyd and my 2020 1st for Dak Prescott seem? Or offer my 2nd for Brissett? The same guy owns both (along with Goff, Jimmy G, and Dalton ), so he isn't hurting for QBs.

Fitzpatrick and Keenum are on waivers for Team 1, and Brissett actually somehow is on Team 2 (why the hell didn't I grab him?!?!), Though I have low priority in both.

Thanks 😊

For team 1, I would let the season get rolling a little bit and see what happens. I think Carr will be much better this year. You will need to help at QB but I would not deal with it just yet. Who knows, maybe Jones is starting by the time you need another QB.

For team 2, Mariota is awful, so I think you are in some trouble here. I do think you need to go and trade for a QB. Not a great option but hopefully Rosen ends up starting at least.

Agree with all of this. Part of me does wonder if a change of scenery for Mariota would help him out.

Thanks guys. Just got offered a trade (for Team 2): either Jimmy G or Josh Allen for Christian Kirk, Tevin Coleman, and a 2020 3rd. I have tons of WR depth, but having to start 3 RB makes me balk on Tevin. I think I have to take the trade though.

Would you want Jimmy G or Josh Allen?
