Trade Cooks

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade Cooks

Postby Ktmjelde » Thu Aug 22, 2019 2:26 pm

So i am stacked at WR and have always been of the mindset if you have an abundance of depth trade for something that could be of more value. I am looking at possibly trading away Cooks since i have Ridley and Fuller who could then slot in as my #4. I am looking at a 1st Rounder plus. What kind of caliber player do you think i should be looking for in the plus?

Or should i just ride it out and enjoying having an embarrassment of riches at WR? One thing to note is the guys i am targeting trading are towards the mid to lower mid in strength of teams and while Cooks will make them better he wont put them over the top.

TIA!

I would hold Cooks with your build and know you have him in your core just in case.

Anytime you have a lot of depth, you should consolidate and do two for ones and get a better player. Rather than moving one player for multiple pieces and getting even more unnecessary depth.

Jones is two years away from being out of league. Smart play with Ridley, but you may want to keep Cooks around so your depth goes longer term.

If you are going to toss, get a 1st round and either RB or QB. You aren't impressive at RB and your QB depth could use an upgrade. You might be fine to add Garoppolo or your back-bench RBs to help sweeten the pot.
