Barkley vs Gurley and Diggs (for my team)

So this isn't an offer out there yet, but Barkley owner said he has an offer for Bark he's leaning towards accepting, but wants to let the rest of the league know so anyone can send in some competing offers. Smart to try and get a bidding war going on if you plan on moving the #1 dynasty asset. His team needs help about everywhere, definitely earned that 1st overall pick and got 3rd overall pick last season.

This is for team 2 in sig. Want to be a 3peat champion. It funds the rest of my league's entry fees. Have studly running backs, but am a little thin at WR. Offer that comes to my mind would be to move Gurley and his knees plus something for Barkley. Trade calculator says Diggs is a 2nd more than enough, but for a chance of accepting I would guess I'd have to add a 1st to get this rebuilding owner's attention.

Would you do it for this team? Or does it make my WRs too weak behind Hopkins, even if it gives me 3 of the top 4 running backs?

There's a 50/50 chance Barkley won't even finish as a top-5 fantasy RB this year. The hype is unreal. Let someone else overpay for him.

I wouldn't make an offer just because the owner is trying to raise up the value for Barkley by creating a bidding war as you said.

If he wants to shop Barkley around, let him come to you with an offer. I also dont' think I'd offer either of the trades you proposed.

very funny because had this owner sold off barkley and then he deems it as cheap then he would certainly be mad the guy didnt announce barkley was available and on the verge of a move. not only is it smart of the barkley owner, its kinda nice of him. also there is no harm in sending trade offers to teams that you would want accepted, even if it was prompted by a bidding war.

think your team is really good as is but id offer gurley, 2020 first and 2021 1st and ask for wners 2020 2nd and 2021 2nd with barkley. replace the knees stay high end, move back literally only a few picks, BUT looks incredibly appealing to him on an offer or in email or whatever. dang gurley and 2 firsts! lol

I have no problem with the Barkley owner shopping around Barkley if he has an offer on the table. The issue I have is the Barkley owner requesting bids, opposed to sending out trade requests on his own. Its not worth the effort imo.

I'd offer Gurley + Golladay + 2020 2nd, see if he's interested. Adjust the 2nd to a 1st as a "compromise" if it gets the deal done.

I like the idea of going in with a lesser offer then your max value and see if it's even close/what needs added or changed. Dont show all your cards straight away.

Well nothing worked. I think some good news came of it as seeing competing offers he knows the original offer he liked wasn't as good as it could get, so he's holding Barkley to build around rather than selling to a contender that would compete with me
