Kyler for Baker?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Baker vs Slider. I like the extra points for running, but the diminutive Kyler probably won't finish the season. Maybe he will. But Mayfield is proven.
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle
K: Succup
Def.: Arizona

Champions 2006 and 2018. Second a few times in between, again in 2019.

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR

Baker , as The Big Spank pointed out Kyler couldn’t beat him out in college and not enough has changed since then. Plus the weapons Cleveland has.

I’ll take Baker because he has stud WR’s and 2 stud RB’s while Arizona has Fitz and Kirk but unproven rookies. DJ is a stud to but Beckham is really good and in his prime along with Landry. Hunt and Chubb is a scary combo. So As of now I’ll roll with Baker.
QB DeShaun Watson, CJ Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis
RB Saquon Barkley, Jonathan Taylor, Alexander Mattison, Roschon Johnson, Kendra Miller
WR Ja’Marr Chase, CeeDee Lamb, Chris Olave, JSN, Treylon Burks
TE George Kittle, Noah Fant, Dalton Schultz, Luke Schoonmaker

I absolutely love Kyler - but I would take Baker as things stand right now.

Baker over Murray all day for me. Murray is going to run all right. He is going to run for his life. That OL in Arizona is just down right awful.

Team 2 - 12 Team PPR SF BB - 22 man roster
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex, 1 SF

I'm surprised by people saying Baker is "a bird in the hand" or "totally proven".

Baker had a great season for a rookie. He did not have a great season for fantasy football. He still has to take a BIG step to be a top fantasy asset. Given his lack of rushing numbers he still has to jump all the way from his rookie 3700/27 numbers to something like 5000/40 to be an elite fantasy asset, and that is a big jump.

Not saying he won't do it, but it's still very much a question as to whether or not he'll ever be as good a QB as someone like Aaron Rodgers, which is what he has to improve to to be a top fantasy asset.
12 Team FFPC TE Premium
QB: Herbert, Brady
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Jav Williams, Pierce, Drake
WR: Jefferson, AJ Brown, Metcalf, Hopkins, Peoples-Jones
TE: Kittle, Goedert

In fairness, he was on-pace for 4,330 yards and 33 TDs during his 13 starts (he sat on the bench for the first 2.5 weeks of the season).

With Hue Jackson around for half of those starts.

The team added the best WR in the league this off-season.

I'm not saying he's a lock for 5,000 / 40, but I like his chances to be a top5 fantasy QB for the next decade.
