Sutton for Engram

Kinda lacking in the TE department and have been offered my Sutton for his Engram. Our free agent bidding starts next week with the best Te’s available being
Graham Andrews Rudolph Waller Walker Eifert Thomas

Both Engram and Sutton have 2 years remaining on current contracts before they hit free agency

My current thoughts are I have a solid 3 core of starting wrs and some youngsters in Parker Jones and Westbrook I think I can deal Sutton for a te

I love Sutton long term but I think Engram is way more important for your build. I would make the deal. Engram has big upside too.

I'm not really a fan of over investing at TE in a standard format, but I think it makes sense here based on current team and it's a solid price.

Think that adds more value to Ingram, but I was more thinking non-TE premium leagues...I just didn't communicate that well.

I like Sutton long term, but you have to make this trade. The rest of your roster is ready to compete right now. A top 6 TE should make that squad a top title contender.

I’m going to play devil’s advocate here. Engram for Sutton is a pretty even trade in my opinion and I would probably lean to the Engram side. However, when you consider the waiver wire it changes things for me. I would rather have Sutton/Andrews over Engram/whoever you would drop. So if I could get Andrews off the wire then I’m keeping Sutton.

Every week starter > Waiver wire considerations

The TE position is a mess past the top 6 guys. You'd be sacrificing a positional advantage (most weeks) for a bench player. In a one for one situation like this you should prioritize your starting lineup IMO.

Why not trade for Engram and grab Andrews off the wire. Then move Engram after his value increases and then play Andrews.
