14 Team .5 PP Startup Draft Results

Just wrapped up a new startup last night and thought I'd share my results! 14 Team league with .5 PPR and 6 Pt passing touchdowns. How did I do?

Overall I think I like it

Sure perhaps AJG was a steal in round 6, but the reality is he is always hurt, and is now 31...If we were judging based off of talent then it is a steal, but that isnt the case

You’re definitely right on that. I think that as a WR 3 I am ok with the risk that the wheels are falling off a little.

I’m on the other side of the coin on this draft. Don’t like Thielen, Barber, or TE picks. I think if you goal is to win back to back chips in 2-3 years then you’ve had a good draft. But, I don’t see this team competing for a chip this year unless the rookies really blow away expectations

Barber was so late I needed a warm body, I'm not going to say I loved the pick at all but... I got him at pick 163. I'm a Thielen fan admittedly but understand if he's not your guy (Kenny Golladay, B. Cooks and C. Kupp were still on the board). Keep in mind this is a 14 team league, I agree it's not a an instant contender but there was some juggling to do with young vs. old guys.

Reasonable critiques no doubt, guys like Edelman went in round 2 but Melvin Gordon was the first pick of round 3 (everyone was scared of the uncertainty). Regardless, thanks for the feedback!
