Carson trade

Team in sig. another owner asked about acquiring Carson. His team is fairly thin outside of some studs. The only pieces I would target on his team are Godwin and Dede.

What would the difference be between Carson and Godwin? Carson and Dede? What is Carson’s value in 2020 picks? I’m guessing his picks would be mid round. I know he’s reluctant to deal Godwin so I’m thinking the pick route would be my best option

From the right owner, you may be able to get a late 1st. Westbrook for Carson could be a possibility straight up but I would ask for a 2nd on top. Cash in on Carson's big season last year. I think his long term value is cloudy.

That’s sorta what I was thinking. A first seemed a little steep but Dede alone seemed light. Regarding my team structure I’m not sure how much sense it makes to move an RB for another WR as I’ve already got a ton and am guessing I’ll draft one at 1.10 this year. I’ll aim for the 2020 first and see how it goes

Latest report I read was that Carson was out performing Penny again in camp. I know camp reports out of Seattle are typically and rightfully mocked, but the signs were there last year that Carson would be the lead back and if I am reading the tea leaves right this year, he looks like he will be again. I would ask for the first since the other owner was coming to you. Other option is to tell the other owner to make you an offer and see if you are even in the same ballpark.

I just moved him straight up for Godwin a couple minutes ago. I asked for a 2020 1st. He countered for Godwin straight up. I did see that he was outperforming Penny but like you said, Seattle RB reports are always taken with a grain of salt. I'm somewhat relieved to be out of that potential messy backfield.

Gettig Godwin for him was a great move as that is an even better return than the 1st I was suggesting.

Agreed. I didn't even try for him b/c he put Godwin off the table the day before in other negotiations. I suggested Carson for a 2020 1st and he countered with Godwin....so, there we go.

If you need a RB at 1.10, i would consider Singletary. He has looked awesome in camp. Today report is Yeldon may be cut. Singletary has a decent chance to be RB1 on the team this year and has no other young studs to compete with him.
