Mark Ingram projections/worth trading for?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Mark Ingram projections/worth trading for?

Postby Gator Sens » Fri Aug 02, 2019 9:32 am

Where does everyone see Ingram finishing this year and is he worth adding for depth at a reasonable price?

I believe that he will have a very good, solid RB2 season as the bell cow for BAL. I would add him for a mid to late 2nd easy

I wouldn't go out and get Ingram in a start 1RB league when you already have a ton of RB studs and depth. If anything, I'd try to package some of that depth for a stud WR.

Agree with this. No reason to acquire Ingram.

I think there's a decent chance Justice Hill takes his job before the end of the season.
Dynasty player since 2002.
I probably should have done something more productive with that time...

huh? is justice any sort of threat to ingram?

i thought he profiled as more of a complementary role to ingram the same way that kamara was..... im not saying hill is as talented as kamara.

299 touches as a sophmore. 5'11'', 200lb isn't that small but yeah, I tend to think he's more satellite plus than workhorse

Bought Ingram for a late first (my own) in sig league a few months back and feel like it was a good add.

I do not see Hill as a short term threat, and I don’t see Ingram as holding his value into next year.

He’s a very nice depth guy on a competiing team, if I had him on a rebuilder I’d hold out for a 1st still.
main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
12 team. 2019 champ, 2020 runner up, ‘21 3rd

RB: K Walker, T Ettiene, JK Dobbins, D Gore, J Hasty, D Johnson, L Rountree
WR: JJ, AJB, A Cooper, Juju, C Kirk, J Dotson, N Westbrook-Ikhine, I McKenzie
TE. T Kelce, Pitts, Albert O, D Parham, J O’Shaunessy

I see no reason why you would add Ingram with your requirements and roster but in a vacuum if you needed depth and were a strong contender, I wouldn't mind paying a late 1st/early second.

I don't think you need Ingram on your team. But I think Ingram is a buy. I don't see Hill as a every down guy. I don't see Gus as a pass catcher. Ingram is the only guy on the team that can do everything so I think that alone gives him the ability to lead the way. I think he can be a solid RB2. Like RB overall 15 or so.

He sucks, and I see no upside for him in that offense. Lamar Jackson is always going to be #1 in the run game, and they have several other RB's, that all played a decent amount last year, plus a rookie RB. Yuck.

I'm not really understanding all the Ingram hate here. He's a talented back that can play all three down on a run first offense. The Ravens have made plenty of JAGs look talented and now they finally have a legit three down back. Ingram's only concern thus far in his career has been his injuries. He's a screaming buy for contending teams.

As for the OP, I do agree that he shouldn't be a target of yours. You have plenty of young talent at RB. WR on the other hand, you have a lot of guys waiting to break out, but no real difference maker. I would package some of my guys and go for Thomas/Evans/Julio etc and make a run at the ship.

5'10" 198 pounds according to his combine weigh in. That means he has a painfully thin frame. He should be over 220 at that height as an NFL RB. No way he can carry a full load
