Postby WhatWouldDitkaDo » Wed Jul 31, 2019 2:08 pm

For team in sig, we are now through Round 2. Thoughts on my picks / trades?

1.01 Josh Jacobs
1.02 N’Keal Harry
1.03 David Montgomery
1.04 Miles Sanders
1.05 D.K. Metcalf
1.06 T.J. Hockenson
1.07 Parris Campbell [me] - more or less traded Dante Pettis for Campbell straight up; love Pettis, but love Campbell more
1.08 Kobiernicki Noah Fant
1.09 Kyler Murray [me] - thought about Henderson but took Murray; very high on him in Kingsbury's scheme + team need
1.10 Darrell Henderson
1.11 Damien Harris
1.12 Mecole Hardman [me] - a bit of a reach, but love his talent and potential in KC's offense + insurance as a Hill owner

2.01 Deebo Samuel
2.02 A.J. Brown
2.03 Marquise Brown
2.04 Andy Isabella
2.05 J.J. Arcega-Whiteside
2.06 Devin Singletary (I traded away the 2.06 for 2.10 + 3.03, as I didn't love any of the options here)
2.07 Justice Hill
2.08 Alexander Mattison
2.09 Miles Boykin
2.10 Darwin Thompson [me] - considered Butler here but decided on Thompson given my need for RB depth
2.11 Hakeem Butler
2.12 Terry McLaurin

Trades
1. Sent Dante Pettis + Dallas Goedert for 1.07 + 2.03
2. Sent Lamar Miller + 2.10 + 3.03 for 1.09 + late 2020 2nd
3. Sent 2.03 + 3.01 for 1.12
4. Sent 2.06 for 2.10 + 3.03 (didn't realize then but #2 & #4 net out: essentially sold Lamar Miller + 2.06 for 1.09 + late 2020 2nd)

Net Loss
Dante Pettis
Dallas Goedert
Lamar Miller
3.01
2.06

Net Gain
Parris Campbell
Kyler Murray
Mecole Hardman
Darwin Thompson
2019 3.03
late 2020 2nd

Looks good to me. I don’t mind Hardman that early. Tied to a great QB and Watkins will be gone next year to make room for Mahomes to get paid so he’ll move up the depth chart

Not too shabby. Love the trades, but I think I would have went AJ Brown over Hardman. I completely get why you went that way though. Solid draft.

I like the Campbell pick most. I'm not a fan of taking QBs in the 1st unless I think they'll be a stud, so if Murray ends up being that, then it'll be a steal at 1.09. I probably would have passed on Hardman, but I can see the appeal and upside in drafting him. If Watkins leaves next year, he'll get a chance at being the WR2 on the best offense in the league.

I like trade 1... Get your guy. I like Campbell too.

I love trade 2, but not a huge fan of Murray at 9. He's got a high ceiling though.

I'd have stayed put on trade 3 and just snagged M Brown or even a RB for team need (if Hardman wasn't still there) at 2.03 but I've got by with less than CMC and Conner at RB before lol. Have you tried trading for J. Samuels?

I really like where you got Campbell, nice pick. I would have gone AJ or Marquise Brown over Hardmen personally. I really like the deals you were able to make as well. Overall, nice draft on paper.

I've inquired, but the Samuels owner likes him quite a bit. I may hedge and trade back into the 3rd for Benny Snell.

LOVE trades 2 and 3. Trade 1 I’m a little on the fence about. Maybe I’m just higher than most on the potential of Pettis and Goedert.
I’m not sure......
Qb: Hurts, geno Smith
Rb: JT, Gibbs, Montgomery, Roschon, Z. White, Ty Chandler
Wr: AJB, JJ, Chase, waddle, G Wilson
TE: Pitts, Kincaid, Likely, Njoku

2024 1.01, 1.04, 1.05

9 players kept yearly
Non PPR
Not super flex
Start 1/1/2/1/2 flex

I get the reasoning for trade 3 but you basically just threw the 3.01 away.

Yeah, it may not have been necessary, but I didn't want to take any chances. I actually talked to the 2.01 owner (who is still on the clock), and he said that he was considering one of Samuel, Brown, or Hardman. So there was a possibility that Hardman wouldn't have been there at 2.03, and I'm fine paying a little extra to get my guy.

as a title contender im not sure why you sent lamar miller packing. using a 1.09 on a 1 week qb fill in is not a move i would advise. hardman over either brown is also not a move i would have made although i get your reasoning. i might have even taken justice hill over hardman given that you sent away lamar miller.

Yeah, I'm just very high on Murray paired with Kingsbury. The plan is to grab some RB depth later in the draft and/or add some WW RBs once the draft has concluded. I'm planning to keep the 2020 2nds I have in reserve in case I need to trade for a RB in-season.
