SF Values- Brees, Stafford, Dalton

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

SF Values- Brees, Stafford, Dalton

Postby bigbuck22 » Tue Jul 23, 2019 11:00 am

Looking to gauge the values and difference in values between Dalton, Stafford, and Brees in a superflex. At 40, Brees is definitely only valuable to a contender. He likely plays 2 maybe 3 more yrs but that's iffy. Basically a year to year decision. At 31, Dalton and Stafford both have some miles to go.

Who do you prefer in a vacuum and what should be added to the player to equal another's value?

Stafford, Brees, Dalton - for rankings. I would think a 1st may have to be added to Brees to land Stafford based solely on age. Brees has 1-2 years left tops you would think.

Stafford - early 1st - only 31 years old; even with a run-first offense, he should be a mid-range fantasy QB2 with QB1 upside
Brees - late 1st / early 2nd - likely only 1-2 more years of production if, that; just a short-term QB1 rental for a contending team
Dalton - early/mid 2nd - plenty of questions about productivity and longevity as a starter, but has QB1 upside with a new coach
