12 Team 0,5 PPR

I am preparing my team to compete this year and would like you guys take on how to improve my team.

starting: QB, 2RB, 3WR, TE, Flex

Wilson, Brady, Dalton

DJ, Carson and really nothing else on RB.

Adams, AJ Green, Thielen, Woods, Harmond

Ertz, OJ Howard, Shaheen

2020 1st (Mid/early)

What should my next move be. I would really appreciate comments and advices here.

I would move AJ Green or Woods for another RB. I think this would really help your team and you can afford to move Green. You are in pretty good shape overall outside of another need at RB.

Pretty easy here. Your RB's are awful. I'd move AJG or Thielen for a RB. Or package up OJ Howard and your 2020 1st. Either way, you need to find a way to get an RB2.

I don't think I'd try competing this year with that team. I'd move Green for youth or picks or both. Take my lumps this year and continue to build. With a return on Green and next year's first, you'd stand a much better chance at being relevant.

Your team is solid but likely won't make it through playoffs. This is the scenario where you need to be really realistic with your chances of winning. I don't see an easy way of significantly improving your team without getting super lucky on a trade or two.

I would try to sell Thielen while his value is high and maybe even Green. You need to get some young pieces and hope to compete in a year or so. Trying to compete now could get you stuck in that middling team limbo. That's never fun

I think you got good advice. Your WRs are obviously stronger than your RBs and you need to get an RB2 if you want to compete.

You could try to deal for a bit of youth, but I feel like if you push back too long on trying to contend DJ will all of a sudden be old.

I'd take a shot at trading WR for RB to compete this year and for another year or two.

I'm a firm believer that any team that makes the playoffs has a shot to win it all. You have the pieces that could get the job done- though you really do need to improve at RB, as others mentioned.
Just to offer another line of thought- I'd look at packaging Ertz and Carson for someone like... Conner?
Roll with OJ Howard and hope this Tampa offense is all it's cracked up to be. Going in with DJ and Conner would be fine as long as they stay healthy.
Green is being undervalued and could still be a WR1 this year. If you really want to go all in add that 2020 1st to Thielen for another top WR (or RB depth) and go for gold.

You start the post with “I’m preparing to compete”, stick with that! This team could easily be ultra competitive. Wilson and D.J. have been tops at their position, and while that maybe isn’t likely they can still be a plus at their slot easily. Take last years stats from the rest of your starting lineup and that’s got a shot.

Anyways.

I like some of the advice so far. Id be uncomfortable at RB id I’m looking for a push.

I’ll add another option, maybe shop AJG, OJ, 2020 1st for a stud?
