Another possible JuJu trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Another possible JuJu trade

Postby Gator Sens » Thu Jul 18, 2019 8:13 am

I posted a few weeks back about trying to get JuJu but talks stalled out. The owner said it would be tough to pass on: Kerryon Johnson, OJ Howard, Christian Kirk and a 1st for JuJu. This would leave me thin at TE. Seems like a lot, but wanted to hear the community's thoughts. As always, thanks all.

I'd pay that as long as the 1st isn't projected early. And looking at your roster, it doesn't look like it will be. Seems like a good price for Juju, who is considered the overall WR1 by many and should be top 5 by everyone else.

Your team is pretty stacked so the only starter you would be losing is Howard. Adding another stud WR helps you a lot more than Howard would. It's a lot to give up, but I would say it's worth it.

Maybe try to get a pick or nice depth player added on the Juju side. But if not, I would probably still do it. You're already a contender as is, but adding Juju makes your team that much more dangerous.

I'd take JuJu here, and the main reason why is because of the starting requirements for your league. He's also the best piece on either side. If you could get something added to JuJu, like a pick, that would be gravy on top, but the more studs you can start the better, and JuJu is a stud.

Value is on his side, but if JuJu is your guy, I don't hate it. Is there any chance he'd take Njoku or Hollywood+Sutton/Davis (CD alone) instead of Kirk?

At the end of the day it gives you a true WR1, and leaves you with solid depth in KG, CG, MW, and CR. Not to mention some flyer guys at the position. You'll be fine at RB, and fine at TE, tho thin there as you mentioned.
Team 1 - 10 Team PPR - 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, TE, 2FLEX

QBs: Wentz, Big Ben, Darnold, Murray, Bridgewater
RBs: Chubb, Mack, L. Miller, Monty, Foreman, Henderson, Ballage, Armstead, R. Anderson
WRs: OBJ, K. Allen, Cooks, ARob, Z. Jones, Chark, K. White, D. Robinson, McLaurin
TE: Howard, Njoku, Reed

Picks:
2020: 1-4
2021: 1-4
2022: 1-4

Team 2 - 10 Team PPR SF - QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX, 1SF

QBs: Mayfield, Watson, Jimmy GQ, Grier
RBs: Barkley, Sony, Lewis, D. Thompson, Love
WRs: Thomas, OBJ, AB, Kupp, ARob, C. Ridley, Alshon, MVS, Chark, Gordon, McLaurin, Quinn
TE: Burton, Walker

Picks:
2020: 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 3, 3
2021: 1, 3
2022: 1-3

Team 3 - 10 Team PPR - QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX

RBs: Ballage, Henderson, Hunt, Hill, Armstead, Anderson, Williams, Thompson, Crockett
WRs: Nuk, Evans, Cooper, Cooks, Samuel, Butler, Chark, Quinn, Robinson, D. Johnson, Morgan Jr.
TEs: Fant, Dissly, Goedert

Picks:
2020: 1-4
2021: 1-4
2022: 1-4

It feels like a lot to me, however based on your small starting requirements it's probably worth converting some depth into a quality starter. Your sig suggests the 1st is in 2021? I like that.
Team 1: 12 Team, PPR, TE Premium, Superflex. Year 2. 2019 Champ.
QB 2RB 2WR 1TE 1SF 3Flex

QB: Watson, Cousins, Minshew, Rosen, Brissett, Teddy
RB: Conner, Hunt, Ingram, White
WR: Hopkins, Julio, Hill, DJ Moore, Boyd, Chark, Miller, Dionte
TE: Jonnu, Cook
Picks: 2021: 2, 3, 4

Team 2: 12 Team, 0.5PPR, Superflex. Year 2.
QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1SF 2Flex

QB: Mahomes, Watson, Wentz, Tannehill
RB: Conner, McKinnon, Hyde, Hines
WR: Thomas, Adams, Hill, Kupp, Ridley, Slayton
TE: Andrews, Irv. Smith
Picks: 2021: None

Team 3: 12 Team, PPR, TE Premium, 6pt TDs, +1 for 40yd TDs [All], Superflex. Year 2. 2019 Champ.
QB 2RB 3WR 1TE 1SF 2Flex

QB: Mahomes, Wilson, Stafford, Brees
RB: Ekeler, Monty, White, R.Freeman
WR: Thomas, OBJ, Fuller, Chark, Crowder, Shepard
TE: Kelce, Hooper, Schultz, Logan, MAC
Picks: 2021: 2, 3

I wouldn’t do it unless you have a plan to get another solid TE in case Njoku doesn’t get his fair share of that offense. Personally, with your team I’d be looking to acquire someone like Julio in order to keep more of your depth.

It hurts to give that much up but honestly that's what it takes to get arguably the 1.02 in startups right now. 22 year old WR with an elite year under his belt is fantasy gold for the next decade.

essentially an early 1st, a mid 1st and 2 late 1sts for Juju.

I think acquiring the best player here (JuJu) is the way to go.
12 Team - PPR - 30man (2 IR) - 6pt PPTD- 1 QB - 2 RB - 2 WR - 1 Flex - 1 TE
QB: Jalen Hurts, Dak Prescott, Anthony Richardson, Aidan O'Connell
RB: McCaffrey, Jacobs, Barkley, Zamir White, Jaleel McLaughlin, Dowdle, Zach Evans, Dobbins
WR: AJB, London, Aiyuk, Diontae Johnson, Rashee Rice, Ridley, McLaurin, Dotson, Rashod Bateman
TE: Mandrews, Pitts, Likely, Otton

2024: 1.01, 1.07
2025: 3x 1st
Champ: 2020, 2021

Take JuJu. Your team is built to contend and adding JuJu at that price will vault it even higher. Much bigger impact than losing OJ
Dynasty League (25 man rosters + 2 IR, non-PPR scoring. QB/3RB/3WR/2TE/K/DB/LB/DL no flex)

QB (1): Herbert, Lawrence, Darnold
RB (3): N. Chubb, D. Henry, J. Taylor, JK Dobbins, Pollard, Singletary, L. Murray
WR (3): D. Hopkins, D. Adams, M. Evans, D.J. Moore, DJ Chark, B. Aiyuk, J. Smith-Schuster, R Bateman, E. Moore
TE (2): I. Smith Jr, H. Henry, Schultz, Tremble

K (1): M. Crosby

DB (1): J. Adams
LB (1): F. Warner
DL (1): D. Lawrence

as others have said the package is the more valuable side but i'd actually take juju here. a stud young wr is EXACTLY what your team needs and you have the kinda team that can absorb to hit it takes to get him.
