Trade away 1.03 for projected top 3 2020 1st?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Would you trade away pick 1.03 for a projected top 3 2020 1st round?

Trade away 1.03 for projected top 3 2020 1st?

Postby Randomguess » Fri Jul 05, 2019 9:19 am

1QB, 12 man, non PPR
QB: Allen
RB: Freeman, Lindsay, Michel
WR: Hill, Kupp, Tate, Washington, Foster
TE: Kittle, Doyle

Current draft picks: 1.03, 1.05, 1.06, 1.10, 1.12, 2.03, 3.03, 4.03
2020: 4 1st round, 2 2nd round

My ideal target for pick 1.03 is Harry. Should he be taken prior to 1.03, would you trade away that pick in exchange for a top 3 projected 2020 1st? I am in complete rebuild mode for this team I took over one year ago.

I'd keep the sure thing. Although the 2020 draft is perceived to be much better on talent, I would take the surefire top 3 pick this year instead of playing the odds.

I would gamble on the pick in 2020 with what should be a better class. RB's especially.

I would be hoping to get something on top of the 2020 1st for the 1.03. There is a lot of projection just to get back to 1.03 in next years class, and while it is perceived much higher in talent, it seems silly to get 1.05 next year for the 1.03 this year. If it was the 1.05 or 1.06 i'd be more okay with the odds, but 1.03 feels like you should get something on top.

I’d first try moving your 1.05 or 1.06 and one of the seconds for that ‘20 1st. If not, I’d do the original deal.

“Projected” is the key word, and what if that 2020 pick turns out to be 11 or 12. I’d keep pick 1.3 and know what ur getting. Now, I’d try and sell 1.5 or 1.6 for that “projected” pick.

Would it be reasonable to ask for pick 2.02 or next year's 2nd round on top of the 2020 1st for 1.03?

yeah I would ask for 2020 1st and 2nd for 1.03, but I wouldn't let that hold me up on the deal.

I think so with the selling point of ur giving up 1.3 and risking a projected pick. So I would want something on top of it.
