James Washington thoughts

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

James Washington thoughts

Postby Gator Sens » Wed Jun 26, 2019 1:44 pm

Based on the news out of camp so far, is Washington worth trying to buy low on or is he just not going to pan out? I would be interested in everyone's thoughts.

Nobody knows what will happen. He's definitely worth targeting, but don't go crazy buying him. If you can get him cheap, jump all over it.

The upside is still there, but I wouldn't pay more than a mid 2nd.

I think early 2nd is the highest I would go but more like mid-2nd is about right like Ditka said.

He has as good a chance as any to land the WR2 spot in what has historically been a very productive position. He dropped 10-15lbs this offseason down to 209 which signals that he's been working hard and fully intends to take the job. As much as I liked Moncrief early in his career, it's unlikely he's going to enjoy a breakout in what feels like his tenth year. Despite reports from mini camp (and remember, it's just mini camp), Washington should still be the favorite to grab the WR2 position. The upside alone attached to the Pitt WR2 should be worth an early 2nd.
