Is Gesicki worth a 2.01 this year

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

I am looking to take a shot on Gesicki, is a 2019 2.01 on fair offer, too much or not enough. Thanks for the help everyone?

Too much. I’d start with your 3.04 and see how that goes.

Hard to gauge his value because TEs take so long to develop but I think that’s fair. I’d say gesicki is more in the mid-late 2nd range though. Maybe wait until you’re on the clock in case Fant falls to 2.01...or get Gesicki/+ for the 2.01. I wouldn’t expect much out of Gesicki in 2019, but I like him for 2020 and beyond.

EDIT: Just noticed you had Henry and Herndon at TE, so I wouldn’t be looking to invest too much in an additional TE.

With your build, I see no reason to make this deal.

Probably wouldn't take him till 2.07 or so after the big drop so that's where id value him

I like Gesecki as a sneaky buy-low this offseason, but 2.01 is nowhere close to buying low. If you can get him for a 3rd, go for it, but there are way more than 13 rookies I’d prefer to him.

talked with Gesicki owner about Herndon and my 3.04. Owner accepted Herndon and 3.04 for Gesicki and wanted to pull the trigger. As he was thinking about it dawned on me that they are essentially the same TE fantasy wise and Herndon outright just played better and can block and it doesn't make sense to do the trade.

for the record - Gesicki for Herndon and 3.04 can happen

Give me Herndon over gesicki for your last offer. Gesicki only hurt his value last year so late 2nd to early 3rdis what you should be able to buy him for.

I prefer Herndon to Gesecki straight up. Definitely wouldn’t add a 3rd.

I offered the 3.04 and he declined, he took him at 1.09 last year so he is struggling to let go of his 1st

Can’t blame the guy for wanting to see it through, especially after he reached on him. Lots of RoJo owners in the same boat (although Gesecki at least has a great athletic profile). I don’t see Gesecki as a league winner type this year. I think you’re fine with the TEs you have.
