My Team: Should I Make Any Moves? Or Am I just Bored?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

My Team: Should I Make Any Moves? Or Am I just Bored?

Postby Johnny B. Goode » Sun Jun 23, 2019 7:09 pm

12 team ppr. 1qb, 2rb, 3wr, 1te, 1rb/wr/te, 1k, 1TD

QB: Goff, Prescott, Jones, Grier
RB: Barkley, Mixon, Guice, Henderson, Barnes, Ozigbo, Scott, R Anderson
WR: Diggs, Godwin, Davis, Kupp, Sutton, JJAW, Isabella, D Samuel, AJ Brown, G Jennings, Reynolds
TE: Engram, Hockenson, Knox
K Tucker
Def PIT
2020 picks: 1, 1, 1

Between Guice and Henderson I think I should be okay at rb3 but I am slightly concerned about that- depending on the outcome of two bad knees (Guice and Gurley)

At WR I have tried like crazy to upgrade this offseason and I landed Diggs and Kupp as well as numerous rookies as you can see. Hoping that's enough. I would like a more reliable wr5 option than Sutton but having a hard time finding a decent option. Maybe I dont need to considering last year he was my wr3/4.

Calling me an active owner is probably an understatement. I took over this team 15 months ago and the only original players are Davis and Tucker. However that means I'm used to futzing with my team a lot. I'm at the point where I'm satisfied with my chances but I always want more. Recently I've been trying to trade Isabella and Deebo (in a package with Jones and Jennings) for Boyd or an upgrade at rb3/4. No bites and I'm starting to think I should just have my wife change my password until September so I cant mess anything up between now and then.

Thanks for looking!!

Nice work turning this team around with what looks like smart deals. I would hang tight now and let the season get rolling a bit. Sometimes the best move after a while is to let it play out.

Maybe pair Guice in a trade to upgrade a WR. If you can find someone who thinks he will be THE guy in WA you might get good value.
Team 1 (superlex):
QB: Mahommes, Geno, Cousins, Ridder
RB: CMC, Javonte, Allgeier
WR: K. Allen, Metcalf, D. Smith, Ridley, Bateman, Burks, Wan'Dale
TE: Higbee

Team 2:
QB: Aaron Rodger, Watson
RB: Alvin Kamara, Zeke, D. Henderson, Mostert, Cohen, Jamaal Williams
WR: Metcalf, AJ Brown, Alen Robinson, Crowder, Lazard
TE: Mark Andrews, Trautman

If you're going for it this year (I think you should), I'd go look for an affordable, aging WR1/2 to bolster production. Names like AJ Green and TY Hilton come to mind. You have so much youth, your team should be fine for a while and if you love trading, you can probably move those guys back off the roster later if need be.

keep trying to find an upgrade at wr, with your 3 first rounders next year you can really boost your rb group.

Sit tight unless you get a really great offer. I think you are well positioned in a 12 team league.

I do question why you have 4 QBs though...
Dynasty League (25 man rosters + 2 IR, non-PPR scoring. QB/3RB/3WR/2TE/K/DB/LB/DL no flex)

QB (1): Herbert, Lawrence, Darnold
RB (3): N. Chubb, D. Henry, J. Taylor, JK Dobbins, Pollard, Singletary, L. Murray
WR (3): D. Hopkins, D. Adams, M. Evans, D.J. Moore, DJ Chark, B. Aiyuk, J. Smith-Schuster, R Bateman, E. Moore
TE (2): I. Smith Jr, H. Henry, Schultz, Tremble

K (1): M. Crosby

DB (1): J. Adams
LB (1): F. Warner
DL (1): D. Lawrence

PS: I often don't revisit a thread after posting. Send me a message if you ever want further thoughts on a comment I made.

You have made a lot of good moves! Areas where i do think you could improve on is RB depth (but i would wait until next years draft to bolster that and IMO you need upgrade at WR. Seeing as with you current lineup you would start Diggs/Goodwin/Davis/Kupp i think you need another WR 1/2. You have 3 first rounders next year and a lot of youth (hope) you should be able to swing a deal to land another stud WR. Also depends on the competition.. i know in my league there are 3-4 teams with rock solid 4 stud WR to go along with decent RBs.

I will also note i am not high on Davis at all and would move him as fast as i could.
