This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Player Valuations

Postby EAGLES » Sat Jun 22, 2019 5:58 am

12 Team | PPR | TE Prem 1.5 PPR | SuperFlex
QB RB RB WR WR WR TE SF FLX

Who would you rather have and do you think anything needs to be added to either side? Landry, Godwin and 2020 1st are from a contending team that needs TE help.

1) Landry or Hunter Henry
2) Godwin or Hunter Henry
3) 2020 1st (7-12) or Boyd

3) 2020 1st (7-12) or Boyd
1) Landry
2) Godwin
3) Boyd

I don't think the values are off for any of these. They seem like player preference.
I chose Landry because he has actually produced in the NFL and Henry is all projection.
Godwin has a lot of trade value right now as he is expected to do big things this year. That is why I chose him. I would immediately flip him.
I chose Boyd because he had a rather quiet strong year last year and think he could build on that this year. If that pick was early I would maybe lean that way.

I appreciate the opinions. I’m considering making a double move. My team is lacking a true TE1 (my starting TE is Doyle). My team is a contender so I was considering moving a WR for Henry and then my 2020 1st for Boyd (Boyd owner is interested in this) to cover the loss of my WR I move for Henry.

Only concern is we have no idea how Henry will be used in the offense now that Mike Williams is up and running and not sure if Boyd will continue his 2018 performance.

Your only concern? Seriously? Pure roster bias, if you ask me.

Godwin doing something for the 1st time is much more of a concern/question than Boyd continuing what he's already done.

Landry with ODB is at least as big a concern as Henry with MWill..

A draft pick (yes, even a 1st round draft pick) is a huge gamble.. could be squat.

This isn’t a roster bias. It’s my concern for the players I’d acquire. Never said my side didn’t hold concerns. For my team, I worry about what I’m bringing on which is what i pointed out in the statement you highlighted

Which all of us should definitely do. But we can't neglect the other half of the equation: what we're offloading.

And in this case, it's fairly obvious that the stated concerns of Godwin, Landry, and a 1st are equal to, or bigger, than the respective concerns of Henry and Boyd, right?

z.B. 'will player X take the next step?' and 'will player Y remain at the next step?' are both valid questions/concerns.. but one is obviously more concerning than the other.
