premium RB pursuit

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

premium RB pursuit

Postby SHIZZLE » Wed Jun 19, 2019 9:10 pm

I want to set my RB's and forget it, I have deep talent at WR and that's what the other team needs. what should I offer?

What should I offer to get Guice? 1.05 and mcCoy

WR's I'm keeping - OBJ and Keenan all the rest are up for grabs

the opposing team RB's of interest are:
David Johnson
Kerryon Johnson
Sequon Barkley

1.05 and TY for Johnson?
TY, AB and 1.05, 2.01 for Barkley?

Don’t think you can put any package together for Barkley unless it includes OBJ+ a lot. 1.05 is nowhere near enough for Kerryon Johnson, The 1.05 and TY Hilton might do it. Depends on it the other owner can afford letting Kerryon go.

Neither of these are enough for those players. If you want Barkley, you better come swinging. OBJ has to be on the table. If you aren't willing to part with your best players, why should you expect the other guy to? Especially when his best player that you are trying to acquire is the unanimous top Dynsasty player. That offer For Barkley isn't even close, BTW.

I think for Kerryon you would have to do 1.05 and another piece, but not a guy like TY, who could be a WR1 or high end WR2 this year. Kerryon is in the 1.01-1.03 range, so a bit on top of the 1.05 is a good starting offer.

I think you will have to overpay a bit to get Kerryon based on the other pieces you could throw on top of the 1.05. Hilton would likely get it done. Hilton + 1.05 is an overpay but it's the only realistic option.

Neither of the current offers you have on the table would get close to accepted. I think your best bet might be to target DJ as many owners have lost some confidence in him. I think something like TY and 1.05 could be a good start to open negotiations.

This for your sig league there?

Mccaffrey and Chubb is pretty dang ‘set and forget’ in my book. If you’re unsure about ol Chubb, shop him around for one you like. For instance if I had Mixon, I’d give him to you for Chubb and a 2nd. If I had DJ/Cook/Gordon/Conner id swap straight up.

Of those targets, I'd aim for David Johnson. I don't think 1.05 gets it done, but you can start there. Be ready to go up to 1.05 + 2.01, or add Tarik Cohen to the offer.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Both of those offers would be insulting. Don't offer either one.

TY and the 1.05 for KJ would be fine by me. Gives you CMC, Chubb, and KJ, which is a solid young group of RB's. Plus you still have OBJ, KA, and AB at WR.

If either option of what you proposed is on the table, take it, otherwise be prepared to go higher. I agree with others, those don’t get it done.

I don't think there is such a thing as "set it and forget it". It's a fantasy pipe dream.
That's what best ball leagues are for.

I certainly don't view Kerryon as set it and forget it.
I didn't see anything last season that made me believe he would be a bellcow. That's another fantasy pipe dream.

Barkley is too expensive and on an unknown offense at the moment to mortgage everything.
Likewise, DJ's situation has changed drastically.

If this is indeed your team in the sig, I would much rather roll with CMC, Chubb, and Cohen and keep all of your other assets.

If anything. Package the 1.05, 2.01, and perhaps another smaller piece to move up into the top 3 and grab one of the rookie backs to add to your stable. Much cheaper to obtain and you'll have a better overall team in the end.

getting the trade fever.....this gets me back to neutral to read that and realize I am okay. I guess I am just unsure about a 1.05 pick this year.
