Thielen trade

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Thielen trade

Postby eraldo_coil » Wed Jun 19, 2019 3:05 pm

For TEAM 2 in sig.

I give: Adam Thielen, Peyton Barber

I get: Miles Sanders, Lamar Jackson

This offer came in today and I'm definitely intrigued. I clearly need help at QB and RB's come at a bit of a premium as well, so although I'd be giving up a solid WR, I would get my QB and Sanders potential is there.

Thoughts on this?
Team 1
12-team, 0.5 PPR, SuperFlex, TE Premium (+0.5 PPR) | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 3FLEX, 1SF

QB: Hurts, Herbert, Cousins, Purdy
RB: Taylor, Barkley, Swift, Mixon, N.Harris, Hunt, Dobbins
WR: Jefferson, Adams, Metcalf, Godwin, Ridley, Lockett, Cooks
TE: Kittle, Njoku, Gesicki

Team 2
12-team, PPR | 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2FLEX

QB: Wilson, Jones
RB: Robinson, Gibbs, Mixon, Sanders, R. White
WR: Lamb, Godwin, Lockett, Addison, D. Johnson, Meyers, Campbell, R. Moore
TE: Kincaid, Dulcich, Fant

I like it.

You need to start getting younger at RB as Bell and DJ are getting up there in age. And you have plenty of young talent at WR so losing Thielen shouldn't hurt you much, if at all. This is selling high on Thielen imo and should be a good trade in the long run. Then again, Sanders could always be a bust. There's definitely risk, I just personally like Sanders so I would probably do it.

DT: Simmons, Cox, Oliver, Vea
DL: Bosa, Hunter, Heyward, Greenard, Odeyingbo
LB: Watt, White, Cunningham, Kirksey

12 Man, 1 ppr, 1 QB, 1-3 RB, 1-3 WR, 1 TE

Given its ppr and 1 QB I prefer Thielen side.

Not crazy about the deal based on the settings in the league. Trading a top 15 WR for a rookie RB is risky. Sanders could turn into a good back and then this trade will level out. You paid a premium for potential here.

I don't play IDP, but based upon the Eagles backfield and likely timeshare I would probably see what else you might get for Thielen. Despite the age factor, I like your backs and imo they are stronger than your WRs. Could be biased on Thielen since he has been great on my roster and feel that he and Diggs don't have a lot of competition for targets.

I don’t think you need to be sending Barber back in this deal. Thielen alone should be enough for Sanders and Jackson.
Both are 12-team 1QB PPR dynasties

🦬PRIME🦬
QB: Hurts, Howell
RB: Mixon, Jones, Sanders, Dobbins, Akers, Roschon, Dowdle, Kelley
WR: Nuk, Godwin, Cooper, Lockett, Flowers, Chark, Collins, Hollins, Tillman, Tolbert
TE: Hockenson, Chig, Trautman
Taxi: Willis, Z. White, M. Mims, T. Palmer

Hull Awaits
$450 cap, 60 contract years

QB: Lawrence $5/3, Richardson $5/5, Minshew $1/0, Jones $1/0, Heinicke $1/0, Tyrod $1/0
RB: Achane $4/4, Warren $2/4, Roschon $7/5, Dillon $4/1, Hubbard $2/1, Kelley $1/0
WR: Nuk $78/1, MT $25/1, M. Williams $1/0, JSN $21/5, Reed $4/5, Rice $4/5, M. Wilson $2/5
TE: Thomas $1/0, Hill $1/0, Parham $1/0

This is a real clear case of helping your team longer term at the expense of this year. I love Kupp and Godwin but my opinion here is that Thielen handily scores more than either this year, and sanders doesn’t crack your starting lineup. In fact I wouldn’t be shocked to see Barber outscores Sanders this year.
