Kelce value

Just wanted to see what people have seen kelce go for. Considering trying to trade at his peak value...but I may be a year late.

This may not be terribly popular, but I was recalibrating my team a bit (don't want to call it a rebuild per se), but a few weeks ago I made the following trade:

Give: Travis Kelce, James White
Get: Christian Kirk, Rashaad Penny, Mark Andrews, 2019 #19 pick

I saw the White = 2019 #19 pick, so really I could say that it was Kelce for Kirk/Penny/Andrews. This is for the team in my sig.

Depending on format, Kelce is still worth a high 1st rounder in my opinion. He puts up WR1 numbers as a TE. I like the pieces the above owner got but I think it's short by a 1st or two. I would not sell low on Kelce, he is still an elite asset.

Kelce puts up WR1 numbers, but at a position that is devoid of talent and fantasy production. I'd probably put his value somewhere in comparison to a player like Juju. He's not as young, but the lack of talent at TE makes up the difference for me. He might even be worth a little more.

Give: 2019 1.9, Edelman, Lockett
Got: Kelce, 2019 2.6

I think you can do a lot better if trading Kelce.

I own him in one league and feel trading him would take away positional advantage so I want no part of letting him go. He been top 5 TE for several years and should have several more years as a starting TE. I have continued to add TE behind him (Njoku, Goedert, Hockenson, Rudolph) so rather sell off another TE asset versus letting go the best one.

TE's do not age as quickly as other positions. I would imagine 3-4 more stud years in his future.

What the hell is going on? Kelce is a beast and is still relatively young for a TE. He should be valued like a second round start up pick. Tsk Tsk

Honestly Kelce and Ertz should be treated like Gronk and Jimmy Graham were several years ago, but it seems like if you have one of them you might as well ride them forever because no one will pay top 15-20 value for them. People were blowing their loads to acquire gronk and graham 6 years ago.

I also dont necessarily agree that they last longer than any other position. In most cases outside of the truly rare, they are just as likely to fall of a cliff and take more of a beating than a WR

x2 Elite WR1 numbers in your starting TE spot win leagues. Personally I value Kelce >= guys like Mixon and JuJu. In terms of picks, I'd want two early 2020 1sts + 2020 2nd to sell Kelce. If/when Hill misses 6+ games, Kelce is going to have an insane target volume.

OP your team in sig looks like a strong contender. Why would you even want to sell Kelce? It's not like you need help badly at any other position, plus you're getting the Mahomes/Kelce stack. Those two can win you weeks on their own.

I have OJ, so I am ok selling if I get a good return. I listened to a podcast somewhere that stated Kelce has had 9 surgeries and I was just seeing what people valued him at. I am pretty sure people in my league would not give what people are stating he is worth so I will stay pat and stop tinkering...i may have a problem with wanting to trade...i get bored.
