Draft Day Advice

Postby jodscott213 » Sat Jun 15, 2019 9:15 pm

I am sitting with 1.02 1.03 2.01 2.02 guy with #1 is going jacobs. I really want Metcalf so leaning towards him with one of the picks, I have thought for weeks i was going Harry but i just don't know,i am thinking about now going Montgomery, then if they are still there Murray and Henderson in round 2, our league hasnt draft a qb round 1 in 3 years. Or you think i should do something different. Team is in the Sig

I'd take Montgomery with #2 and trade back with #3 to somewhere between 5-7, where you should still be able to get Metcalf, plus whatever you'd net from the trade. Then take Murray and Henderson round 2 if they fall there.

TE: Andrews, McBride, Jonnu

Top 3 is too high for DK, trade down to 5 or 6 and get some added value if you are insistent on taking him.

I would take Harry and Montgomery in your shoes.

Henderson's value has skyrocketed lately, I'll be shocked if he's there in the 2nd round. His current ADP is 1.06 I belive, and there are people out there taking him #1...

10 team 1QB I wouldn't take Kyler that high, again you can trade down for some more assets and get him with a later pick, or take the best WR available there should be a number of solid options.

i think Harry will be solid with Brady but in 2-3 years where will he be then

Still playing with Brady most likely, and if not they'll have another QB to throw the ball.

I would go Harry and Montgomery here. With the 2nd round picks, go BPA. Since you like Metcalf a lot, if he is available late, you could try moving both 2nd's and a piece to jump up and take him.

With that weird format studs rule (even more than a regular 10 team leauge).

I would be looking for guys with the highest upside.

I would go with DK and Sanders.

Harry and Monty are probably safer but id swing for the fences. I dont love Harrys situation long term and i dont think Monty ever takes work away from Cohen so his ceiling is capped

People overthink Brady retiring. People forget 2008, Brady went down and the team still went 11-5 with Matt Cassell at the helm. Thinking beyond 2-3 years is often a fool's errand, as there are just too many variables. It is just as likely the Pats draft a QB in the next year or two who turns out to be serviceable. Harry has talent regardless of his QB, and any QB they get when Brady retires will be better than what he had in college.

I'd consider Harry with one of your picks.

To me its more than just Brady retiring, Harry doesnt get great seperation from corners, he will be fins with Brady but whay if he gets a qb who isnt as accurate?
And what if BB calls it quits? Cassel was successful bc the patriots out scheme everyone. (And bc he was thrpwing to moss and welker who did get seperation)

Im not saying I'd avoid Harry altogether (i had him ranked 1.02 in my league well about DK)

But in the league where you only start 5 total skill players i just think DK has more long term upside playing with Russ.
