DJ value still being propped up by 2016, he's not getting close to that ever again and going to disappoint his owners. Now is the time to sell.

Great deal for your team. Nice value and the upgrade from Hooper to Kittle is huge. Plus you keep Hooper for depth.

I'm surprised no one is on the DJ side. Kittle alone is not worth DJ, and Mack has looked REALLY good at times, but I think is far from a sure thing. 2 concussions in 2 years and 2 other injuries (labrum and hamstring, which he injured and reinjured). If he can't stay healthy he will be replaced.

I think DJ has a bounce back year, and his value actually increases this year.

I also think Kittle does significantly worse than last year because targets will be spread out more.

I can see the upside being on the Kittle and Mack side, but I don't see this trade being that lopsided.

Kittle is an elite TE, and in his prime. Mack does have injury concerns, but he just turned 23, and has been an explosive playmaker since entering the league. His team firmly believes in him, right down to the owner. DJ may bounce back, but I have serious doubts in that system, running out of shotgun almost exclusively, with a rookie QB and WR's, and a below average OL. Unless DJ destroys it this year, I think his value will decline. He will be 28 THIS year. I think just due to age, his value will at best stay the same. There is a narrative to be written for the other side, for sure, but I think the safer play, and the value play, is the Mack and Kittle side. Think about the other side of it, if DJ got hurt for any time. This trade would look awful.

I get the Mack and Kittle argument as well. I was just surprised it was so lopsided.

I would take Mack and Kittle all day. Kittle is top 3 TE, even if he regresses as some believe he was in perfect storm last year I think he remains top 5 TE. Mack is very young and in a great offense. I think DJ is a stud and will be a stud for the next 3-4 years.

DJ going to catch a lot of passes. With that said you get two starters and Mack is going to shine. Take the deal. OH and I have DJ
QB: Mayfield, Bridgewater, Fitzpatrick
RB:David Johnson, Mixon, Chubb, James Robinson, Mattison, K Vaughn
WR: AJG, K Allen, D Adams, JuJu, C Godwin, D Slayton, S Miller
TE: Engram, Kittle

No PPR. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 Flex (RB,WR,TE) 1K 1 1 Def
Drop 7 ea yr. 20 player roster with up to 2 IR

I can see why the OP is posing the question. If this were an easy accept, he wouldn't have posed it.

Key part of his question is would we do this trade for his team in Signature 1

My answer is NO. I would keep DJ over trading him for Mack and Kittle

My reasons being:

1st and foremost the OP only has Zeke and Damien Williams at RB other than David Johnson. I would much rather role with Zeke, DJ and Damien Williams (who is not a guaranteed long term starter) over Zeke, Williams and Mack (who is also not a guaranteed long term starter).

2nd. reason being the OP has Austin Hooper who isn't a slouch at TE. He will either be the 2nd or 3rd option in ATL this year again.

3rd reason being Kittle will not get as much attention with all three pass catching RB's and Pettis, Deebo and Goodwin all on the same field. Although I do agree Kittle is "very good" I also think he received a lot of extra looks and opportunity last year due to injuries. I'm just not ready to crown him a top 3 TE yet, until I see him retain his market share of catches with all the other players on the filed.
