Trade offer in SF- 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Trade offer in SF- 1.01

Postby tom14cat14 » Sat Jun 15, 2019 2:58 pm

I have an offer in my box at first I thought was a heck no but know I think it is a lot closer then I thought. Offer is

League is SF, TE premium (1.5 vs 1 PPR), Best Ball 30 man rosters

Give: OJ Howard, Boyd, R. Freeman
Get: 1.01, 2.01, Ian Thomas

At first I thought no because I have a pretty balanced team. Not necessarily a power team.

Seems like Murray should be worth more in SF after this year. Hold the 1.01

Pretty sure I'd do it before he changes his mind. Yuppers.

My only hold up with this is, I would basically be paying Boyd and OJ Howard for Murray. What other QB could I buy with those two? It seems like a back-end QB1 which is Murray worth that before he ever plays a down?

Take it. I am not a Murray guy, already sold my 1.01 along with a bit on top for Wentz, but give me the pick all day, here. His hype is growing, as do all the rookies at this time of year.

O.J. Howard is pretty valuable in a TE premium league but Kyler Murray will put up some monster games in a Best Ball Superflex Format. None of those other pieces of this deal mean much in comparison. I would buy the 1.01 for that price.

Boyd put up some monster games too. So he isn’t just a throw in. It really seems like i would be paying a premium on a guy who has yet to play a down. If Murray becomes a top QB then this is a steal. But if he is backend QB1 then this is fair. Everything else i lose. That’s why i am struggling with this.

Freeman = 2.01 + Thomas
Murray > Howard + Boyd

I'd take the 1.01 in superflex ASAP before the other owner revokes the offer.

I just saw Murray go 1.08 in a Superflex start up draft. I mean there was a QB run, but still. Keep Murray.

Yeah, but that's an outlier. That's just somebody who doesn't really know what they are doing.

Ridiculous. These are some people who aren't really understanding value, that doesn't mean this is his value. There are people out there that don't know how to draft, but this doesn't set the value for every league. Maybe somebody in the OP's league will get caught up like this guy did, and I think he should take the deal, but in my SF leagues, he is not valued like this.
