I’m not contending anytime soon so going to trade Larry as I figure he has value for a contender before he retires.
Am I best to work a trade now or wait until the season starts and hope he has a strong start to increase value?
Do any WRs come to mind who would be a realistic trade option (I’m thinking yong and up and coming).

I don't think it matters. Everyone knows he is his last year (maybe 2, but probably not). You're not going to get much for him. Someone might overpay once the season starts and injury makes them desperate for depth. So I guess that's your answer, wait until the season starts. I wouldn't turn any decent offer down though.

Best case scenario someone gives you a 2nd round pick expecting it to be late, then they have an early playoff exit or just miss and it ends up mid round. Most likely you get a 3.

I’m in same boat, and have offered him up looking for a 2nd. But it’s the same response, no one paying that for 1, maybe 2 years left. Best offer I got was a 5th round in 2019 draft. Needless to say I’m holding, and like others said, hope he has a good start then try and sell to a needy team.
Personally, I think he’s gonna have a decent year with the new system, adding a rookie QB that may find Fitz very reliable to target. Even if I’m stuck and he doesn’t put up solid numbers I’ll ride him out until retirement.

I traded for him and gave up pennies to get him. I’m going to be a contender, so I think he will be a decent WR4 or 5 for me. However, I have had him on the block, because I have 2 ARI WRs, so I put Fitz on the block. I’ve been asking for a 3rd and haven’t gotten any bites yet. I think knowing that he only has 1-2 years left, you won’t get more than a 3rd. Unless you wait till mid season and someone has a lot of injuries.

best case scenario is someone gives up a 3rd in season but I would sell for any 4th rounder or better at any point, or find a few flyer type players you like on contenders and see if they will trade straight up.

unlikely you get much in a 12 team league, but i'd wait for some good team to get unlucky with injuries.
