Good buy low on Gurley?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Good buy low on Gurley?

Postby FOOTBALL!!! » Wed Jun 12, 2019 9:11 am

For team in sig
I give Diggs and Njoku
I get Gurley and JJAW

If I am a contender I will keep him but I think his value will go up come the start of the season.

I feel like i already answered this question...

this deal is worse than the other one imo. putting way too much stock in Hock.

If you're looking to sell Gurley later at higher value its good, if not its bad.

I’ve been seeing a lot better deals for Gurley out there. You are giving up a really good young WR and and really young good TE

I don't view this as a buy low at all. With the concerns around Gurley, I would not be moving Diggs personally.

I’m not against the deal in a vacuum, but I don’t like it for your team and I actually think it makes your team less of a contender. In a league where you have to start 3WR, relying on Davis, Fuller, and AJ Brown is a big ask.
Team 1: 12-team SF 0.5 PPR:
QB: Dak, Russ, Stafford, Geno, Dalton
RB: Harris, Gibson, Chubb, Cohen
WR: DK, Ridley, Kirk, Chark, Woods, C Samuel, Shepard, Reagor

WR: DJM, Cooper, Sutton, Deebo, R. Moore, ARSB, Eskridge, Renfrow
TE: Gesicki, Njoku, Arnold
Team 3: 12-team PPR SF:
QB: Watson, Lawrence, Winston, Cam
RB: Harris, Ekeler, Dobbins

I agree with this, not a buy low actually a fair deal, but your team is in trouble now, especially if Mariota's throwing arm hasn't come back around.

It's not like Diggs has no concerns around him. He hasn't played 16 games in a season yet in his career.

Man I am shocked at how low the community is on Gurley. He was the best player in fantasy last year. Even if he only gets 15-20 touches a game he is still going to be a beast.

"Buy low" does not mean "less than current market value". This deal is definitely far less than Gurley's value at this time last season...whether this is a buy low or not turns on what Gurley does going forward. Essentially: if you think that Gurley is going to be largely fine and put up several more elite seasons on a slightly reduced workload, then this is a buy low. If you think that Gurley's knee is far worse than he and the Rams organization are letting on, and that he will ultimately be forced into early retirement following a couple of lackluster seasons, then this is decidedly not a buy low.

Diggs has had one 1000 yard season and just barely...he’s not even the best WR on his team. if Gurley is his normal self this is absolutely a buy low. Everyone doubts Gurley so I guess this can tip it back to even. Regardless with your team makeup and starting requirements it’s probably a no go.
