Need some opinions on this trade

Howdy all. Had this go down in one of my leagues and it has stirred up a fair bit of drama from one owner. It got so bad I had to remove them after they began making personal attacks towards other owners. Since then he's taken to blasting me in other leagues we share and accusing me of cheating. Was this deal really that bad?

Gave: Bell
Got: Harry, 2020 1st.

Bell was my rb3, and I was real weak at wr. Made several offers to swap Bell for a wr and a pick, and worked my way down to Harry on my list. I figure Harry is going in top 5 in almost every draft so I basically got 2x 1sts for Bell, which I consider to be fair for a 27 year old rb with a lot of mileage and rust on a new team. Dont think it is that bad if a deal. If bell comes back to form, it will be a little off, but harry is suppose to be wr2 in NE with a throw first approach. And a 2020 1st is a crap shoot still.

Doesn't look that bad. Bell is not in Pittsburgh anymore, although the Jets haven't done terrible with RBs. But the Steeler o-line has been pretty strong and the receivers have been very distracting for defenses. Almost optimal rb conditions. Harry seems to be off to a great start, but you won't know for sure until the real games start. We've had much worse trades in our league this year. Who are your RB1 and RB2?

Wr: Godwin, Fitz, Harry, Isabella, M. Brown, Sanu, P. Williams, LJH.

I needed some help at wr and made plays for a few young ones + a pick so I could have a better shot at getting a qb next year. After a few other rejects the Harry owner was interested. I don't think he's a guaranteed stud, but I like his talent and he's young.

While I would have wanted a more proven asset, there is nothing terrible about this trade.

Perfectly fair. There's a lot to not like about Bell (taken a year off, on a team with a much worse injury situation, old for a RB) and you basically sent him away for the top WR in this class and a 1st round pick which is currently projected to be loaded. You might have been able to get a bit more thrown in (like a 2nd round pick), but I think its a fair trade, especially if the 2020 1st ends up being early/mid.

I have Bell in one league and couldn't even get anything close to what you got, so I hung on to him.

It's certainly nothing to be upset about. What is the guys objection?

More than likely, he’s just jealous, that’s usually why someone gets mad about a trade and it may be a tad off but definitely nothing to get mad about.

I would have asked for a bit more but there is nothing wrong with this deal at all. You got younger and an extra 1st in a loaded class for a guy that hasn't played football in a year.

Honestly I am not too sure. He never made a coherent enough statement to express his exact objections. The guy who got Bell posted in the groupme about how happy he was with his roster, and this guy began making petty insults. It grew from there. After I booted him he started blowing up my DMs on GroupMe, and I tried again to explain my stance on the trade. (the 2x firsts argument I made above) He took that somehow as me admitting I am cheating, and off he went. As for the dart throws, I did try for more proven assets at first. Once those were all rejected I went with Harry. Thanks for your response.

That would be my guess. The same owner started drama in another league we shared very recently cause he took over an orphan and didn't like it's draft position. So naturally he does what we all would do and accused the commish of cheating and manually adjusting the draft order to put himself at 4th overall. I suppose this whole topic is pointless given the source of the accusation, but I figured it would be best to get some extra opinions from y'all. Thanks

Thanks for the response. I did try for more, but I couldn't even get a counter after a couple weeks of different styles of offers with Bell as the center piece. I tried involving a QB swap so I could get younger from Brady; I tried upgrading Rudolph when the rumors started he may end up in NE; I tried adding to him for Zeke when the Zeke owner began shopping him. I targeted teams weak at rb and strong at either qb or te for these deals and still nothing. The extra 1st should help me beef up my SF crew from Jimmy G/Brady/Eli.

Thanks everyone for the responses and votes. The general consensus seems to be it's not bad at this time, but it could flop either way in the season.
