Lamar Miller vs. D'Onta Foreman [POLL]

Postby WhatWouldDitkaDo » Thu May 30, 2019 2:57 pm

It seems that many are high on Foreman's prospects at winning the starting job in HOU for 2019 and beyond. I'd still rather bet on Miller though and just traded away Foreman for Miller and a pick swap (for my team in sig). Thoughts?

I own foreman and hope he recovers. But Miller still ahead for me. The fact you moved up also a clear win imo

Miller is still the safer play until we see where Foreman is. That was a brutal injury for a running back.

I own both and am content to just let the situation play itself out, since both seem to be consistently undervalued. That said, if I had to pick one, I’d go with the safe bet of Miller. The pick upgrade is just gravy. Should probably have been the other way around. Nicely done.

I would prefer Foreman's upside and potential over Millers already known lower-end RB2 production. If you're looking for somebody you can throw into your lineup in a pinch tho then I suppose Miller is more certain to get you a few points.

If the picks were flipped, I'd call this fair. Miller should be worth more than Foreman. Easily the Miller/2.06 side for me.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them draft a new RB next year and make both Miller and Foreman irrelevant (unless Miller gets another starting gig)

I'll go with the better pick here
10 Man IDP, .75 ppr, Big Play Bonus, TE Prem, 2 QB, 1-3 RB, 2-4 WR, 2 TE, 2 DT, 2 DE, 3 LB, 4 DB, 34 Keepers (17 off - 17 IDP)
QB: Watson, Lawrence, Tannehill, Fitzmagic
RB: Jacobs, Javonte, Drake, Mack
WR: Thomas, DJ Moore, Mike Williams, Golladay, Mooney, Kirk, Shepard, Parker
TE: Kittle, Ito Smith, Ebron, Bryant, Seals-Jones
DT: Simmons, Cox, Oliver, Vea
DL: Bosa, Hunter, Heyward, Greenard, Odeyingbo
LB: Watt, White, Cunningham, Kirksey
DB: Collins, Duggar, J Reid, Clark, Edmunds

12 Man, 1 ppr, 1 QB, 1-3 RB, 1-3 WR, 1 TE
QB: Tua, Jameis, Cam, Taysom
RB: Taylor, Javonte, CEH
WR: Jefferson, Nuk, Diontae, Juju, Shepard, Mooney, Robby Anderson
TE: Henry, Gesicki, Brevin, Cook

12 Man, 1 ppr, 1 QB, 1-3 RB, 1-3 WR, 1 TE
QB: Russ, Matty Ice, Tannehill
RB: CMC, Dobbins, Sanders. Scott, Mack
WR: Nuk, Keenan, Mooney, Patrick, Collins, Dyami
TE: Andrews, Schultz, Brevin, Akins

I'm guessing the Miller owner in my league wouldn't make this deal with me. Nicely done.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST
QB: Jordan Love, Deshaun Watson
RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

I'm kind of surprised by the number of votes for the Foreman side though. If he's being valued by a mid 2nd or more by some, then I'll explore selling him in other leagues as well.

Foreman side here. He’s an explosive option, despite injury, who could be an RB1. Houston doing little to nothing in FA and the draft speaks volumes to what they think of Foreman. Miller is the safer option, he’s a consistent low end RB2 in a great offense. I can See both sides, but I’m trying to swing for the fence in this scenario
