Would it be CRAZY if you were toward the end of the first round (say 1.12) to go TE/TE in a league where you start qb-qb-rb-rb-rb-wr-wr-wr-wr-te-te-flex-k-d? Kelce/Ertz obviously.

Thoughts?

Not the direction I would go, maybe if they were both younger? You will miss out on so many players

It would not be crazy at all.

In start-ups, you can often find valuable veteran production -- guys who still easily have a couple of big years left -- at discounts. Kelce/Ertz will give you a MASSIVE leg up, and rounding out that team with QBs like Roeth, Rivers, Brees, etc. who will inevitably fall along with guys like AJ Green, Edelman, etc., and you'll have a HUGE leg up in 2019/2020. Look at this way: Win one of the first two years (or even a second-place finish), and you're rebuilding on everyone else's dime -- and maybe pocketing a few dimes, too, for you're trouble.

If you do go that route, then focus your draft on players with high expectations for 2019/2020 -- and capture falling veteran value everywhere.

Good luck!

Last year Gronk went at 1.11 and Kelce at 2.12. It's also a two QB league, which shakes things up. It's always a wild draft.

It's a solid strategy but I don't think I would do it. Since it is required to start two QB and two TE i would try and grab one of the big three tight ends and I would also grab 1 QB. Solidify one elite at each position and see how the rest of the draft unfolds. There will be a ton of value that falls in your 3/4 swing.

I would also petition your commissioner to get rid of kickers and defenses. They are worthless in dynasty especially kickers.

This is a redraft league, right? I think some people here are assuming it's a dynasty team because this is posted in the Dynasty Team Advice sub-section.

Yes it is. I posted it in the wrong forum. Couldn't delete or move it. I did title this Ultimate Redraft. But my mistake.
