Biggest Need for My Team?

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Biggest Need for My Team?

Postby FantasyFoosball » Fri May 24, 2019 4:57 am

This is for my team in my sig. Our free agent auction is going to be coming up in a couple of months. In the meantime we can make trades. I'm wondering, whether it's via trade or free agency, where my focus should be at? I still need three defensive starters, so my plan is to try to address my defense first, and then just depth pieces after that. I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything else that I should be focusing on.... maybe upgrading at RB2?

I won last year, and I expect to be competitive again this year, so I'm looking to compete.

Any and all thoughts are welcome.

If I am understanding correctly, you can still roster at least 14 more players than what is listed on your signature? Starting with unsexy things...would you roster the QBs behind Mayfield and Darnold as insurance, or is that wasteful? Maybe you can get them now for "free" or cheap just in case. I guess you need a kicker. And for depth / byes, what, at least 6-8 more guys on the defense side? Your RB2 is fine...but could use a bit more depth after that if possible. I guess you'd have to weight the scoring system and the relative worth of offense vs. defense to help decide where to take more dart throws.
"Marathon Square" - 16 team full PPR league with 24 player roster. Keep 16 per year indefinitely, draft 8. Start 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 Team DST

RB: Travis Etienne, Aaron Jones, Jamaal Williams, Kendre Miller, Jaleel McLaughlin, Sean Tucker, Deuce Vaughn
WR: A.J. Brown, Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Calvin Ridley, Michael Wilson, Kendrick Bourne, Tutu Atwell, Allen Lazard, Isaiah Hodgins, Justin Shorter
TE: T.J. Hockenson, Cole Kmet, Kylen Granson
K: Didn't make the playoffs in 2023  , and don't usually hold one in the offseason
Team DST: Cowboys, Lions

Picks:
2024: All my picks except 3rd rounder

Disclaimer: My one and only Championship in this league was way back in 2011. Therefore, take my replies with the appropriate grain of salt.

Yes, I can roster up to 19 more players. Cannot make any pickups until the auction, but can trade. Salary league though so I only have so much money. So I'm looking to see where I should focus the money I have left. I'm assuming the last few starters I need on defense are where I should spend most of it, I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything. Sometimes it's easy to miss something when evaluating your own team.

id be trading 2020 firsts for stud wrs and trying to repeat as champion. maybe package carson, penny and a first for a top RB.

i know 2020 picks are sexy and fun but you wanna win and you have some great ammo to load your team further for a repeat title.

good luck!
team 1
12 team, 1 pt for 4 rec, 0.1 per rush
1qb, 3 rb, 4 wr, te, k, 4 idp

J Jefferson, Diggs, DK, D Smith Puka, C Watson, E Moore
Njoku , HH, Engram

2024 picks
1,3,4,5,5,6,7 (all late mostly)

team 2

Kelce,McBride, Chig,

1,2,3,3,5

team 3
14 team sf, even scoring idp to offense (rb scores highly too)
Josh Allen, A Rich, Foles, Rudolph
Bijan, Charbs, Spears, Ebner
J Williams, G Wilson, C Watson, Flowers, J Addison, Tillman
Kincaid, Kolar, Ruckert, Fergeson

Not that you need to roster a K, but I always look for a warm-weather/dome kicker on a playoff bound team. If anyone on waivers meets that definition, roster now!

Else, I think you need another QB, one more stud at RB, plus depth at WR. Love your TEs! I don't do IDP.

Who are the top players on waivers?

g'luck!

Pillage FIRST! THEN burn. Doing it the other way around is pointless.
