This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Top TE Trade Offers

Postby wickerkat1212 » Wed May 22, 2019 10:18 pm

So, seems like it was Kelce, Ertz, and Kittle at the top last year. They averaged 18, 16, and 14 points a week, respectively. Ebron was the next closest with 12 points a week.

I offered Burton, 2019 2.04, 2020 1st and 2020 2nd for Kelce. No answer yet. My question:

1. Is that a decent offer for Kelce?
2. Would you make that same offer to Ertz or Kittle?
3. To anyone else?

Thanks.

I personally wouldn't pay that much for Kelce (or any TE), but some people might pay more. Given your roster, I'd rather have the picks anyway.

1st----> you need to find out if their owners want to move them. If the answer is no, these offers are not close. You need to come with a top 25 asset type offer if the owner doesnt want to move him.

Doesnt hurt to offer for any of the 3, but like the previous poster...id keep your picks. Not buy 30 yr old tes. Id avoid kittle at his price. No way he does that again imo and even with that great season....he still wasnt elite. Think about that before over investing.

If that offer came in for Kelce to me its an easy turn down.

In one of my leagues where I had Gronk and now no TE of any Value I traded for Kittle. I wanted him or Kelce and Kelce owner told me he wouldnt trade him to me as I was his only competition. So to get Kittle I paid 1.11, 2020 1st, and Brandin Cooks. Did I pay too much yep, but my team was and is stacked and I wanted the TE to go for my 4th title in a row. Cooks was my WR6 on my team so not that big of a loss me as I didn't even start him last season at all.

Yeah, seems I'm in a tough position here. I guess the good news is there aren't that many elite TEs right now. So if I'm stuck with Burton, that still gives me the #8 TE. Thanks, guys.

In what league did you have Cooks as your WR6? Genuinely asking, not being a d*ck.

If it's for your team in sig, Cooks would be your WR4 and an every week starter. Plus you already had Njoku who at least offers some potential to be a difference maker at the position.

Cooks = Kittle / Kelce / Ertz, so I think you overpaid by (2) 1st round picks.

Oh I only got the one team listed, for team where cooks was my WR6 other 5 are Hopkins, OBJ, Hilton, Thomas, and Kupp (Yes I have Kupp before Cooks as Cooks is the 3rd or 4th look from Goff where Kupp is the 1st) @ RB Gurley, Gordon, Cook, Mixon, Williams, Lindsay. At TE kittle now with Ian Thomas and Luck as QB.

1. I would need more to sell Kelce, but it's not an insulting opening offer.
2. Yes, though Kittle should be your priority due to age. Adding a top-3 TE will help you contend, but I'm not sure if it's enough to put you over the top given your iffy WR depth.
3. I'd try 2020 1st + Burton for Engram. He's my clear dynasty TE4 but undervalued by many.
