14 team SF Trade offer on table

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

14 team SF Trade offer on table

Postby Lordchay » Fri May 17, 2019 6:18 am

Hello gents...

I've got an offer on the table from another leaguemate that I'm tossing around.
This is a 14 team SF TE&DEF-premium league 27 roster spots.

Notable starters for my team:
QBs: Mahomes/Darnold

RBS: Kerryon/James White/Ballage

WRs: Keenan/Sutton/Pettis/Agholor

TEs: Walker/Olsen

I was a middle of the pack team last year as you can tell that Mahomes carried me to a couple victories I wish I hadn't got.

I've got the following rookie picks this year:
1.08, 1.10, 1.14, 2.08, 2.14, 3.08, 3.14

The offer on the table is:
1.02 for 1.08, 1.14 & 2020 2nd

There is a 50/50 shot that the guy at 1.01 doesn't take Murray and honestly I'm not sure how I 100% feel about him. What do you guys think of this move? Or should I stay pat and reload, maybe take Hockenson at 8/10 and grab a couple lower-tier QBs and hope someone hits?
Too many teams to list here...

I think I like the deal.

if 1.01 doesn't take Murray you now have the options of:
1) taking Murray
2) trading the 1.02 at a possibly higher value than what you traded it for (pretend its for the 1.06 and a 2020 1st or something like that).

If 1.01 does take Murray you can grab either Jacobs or Harry (my next 2 ranked), or again just explore trades.

I would wait until the 1.01 owner picks. I'd only pay that for the 1.02 in a rebuild if Murray is available.

I'd stay where you are. Take advantage of whoever falls to you at 1.08 and 1.10. There is some good talent there and I'd rather take my chances with a Metcalf, Brown, Sanders, Hockensen type player than and a 2nd pick around that range than one shot at Harry or Jacobs.

I actually like the value. I'm not crazy about Murray either, but he'd be a steal at 1.02 if he falls and you can always flip him for better pieces later than what you'd get at 1.08 and 1.14. And if Murray does go 1.01, then you get your pick of whoever you like most.

That's pretty good value. I wouldn't be surprised if you can get more back when on the clock. If Murray is there then you have a huge win whether you keep him or flip him.

Some contender is going to want Jacobs. I'd take him if Murray is gone and ask for a 1st this year and a 2020 1st and 2nd.

It's fine value whether Murray is there is not so take the trade and work it out later.

I feel like the offer is fair. If Murray doesn't go first, the 1.1 price could skyrocket.

You still have 1.10 so you have someone to take there too.

I understand if you don't do it but I lean towards accepting. Maybe ask for a later pick in 2019/2020 back?

Fair offer but you could wait for the 1.01 pick to be made before making a decision.

I would be concerned that if you wait you won't get it for that price if Murray is there

Well he pulled it from the table because he is basically playing that offer to me against another leaguemate in the league to get him to give up more. We'll see if he comes back with it because I know the other leaguemate doesn't want to make the deal with him.

I'll probably do it and see what happens. I know if I don't do it before the 1.01 is taken and Murray falls to 1.02, the price will definitely skyrocket with this guy.
