Finley

Postby joeday » Mon May 23, 2011 6:10 am

In my league 3 I have Finley at TE and someone offered me pick 1.9, which could be someone like Vereen, Helu, Carter, or Little. Another team has Dallas Clark, Hernandez, and Owen Daniels at TE and has to throw 2 of them back (I assume he keeps Clark). Should I trade Finley for any of those players (1.9), and if I do which TE should I go after from the other team (it would prolly only cost me a 4th)?

your team in this league is really good and really young at all positions except RB. Your wrs, te and qbs are set for the next 5-7 years so I think the posistion you need to work on is RB. and then you'll be winning championships for years to come
12 team non-ppr standard scoring(1qb,2rbs,2wrs,2rb/wrs,1te,1k,1D) 25 man roster
QB- WATSON, prescott,
RBs- ALVIN KAMARA, DAVID MONTGOMERY, K JOHNSON, rashaad penny, ronald jones, bo scott, p barber, darrell williams
WRs- JUJU, CHRIS GODWIN, christian kirk, courtland sutton, keke coutee, zach pascal
TEs- GEORGE KITTLE, ian thomas, mike gesicki, jace sternberger, dawson knox
K- d bailey
DST- STEELERS, chargers

2020 picks: 3RD,4TH

Finley is worth much more than a 1.09 rookie pick. The only rookie I'd consider moving him for at 1.09 would be Little, but it's not likely that he falls that far as he's been going 1.05-1.07 in most drafts.

In this league RBs are valued very highly. It would honestly not shock me to see Julio slip to 1.7 range. Last year Dez didn't go until 5, and Nicks (who was thrown back) didn't go until 1.09. I would be very shocked not to get Little at 1.09.

x2. But I'm not sure I'd even trade him for Little.

Ahhh, I remember this league from one of your other posts. Well in that case, I still wouldn't move Finley for Little, he's just the only one I'd consider. Finley's worth much more.

Someone threw Nicks back last season...I am not sure this league truly has a proper evaluation of players.

HAHAHA the person that threw him back was an idiot and no longer in the league. When he did it, the 5-6 of us that actually are die-hards scrambled to get into the first round to get nicks! Another wrinkle is, if I take Julio at 1.3, I could get a decent rookie RB (Helu possibly, maybe even Mikel) at 1.09 if I trade Finley. So it would open me up to take Jones at 1.3. What sounds better: Finley and Ryan Williams or Julio and Helu?

I would not touch Helu, complete waste of a pick let someone else reach on him. And if this is such a rb favored league then there is NO WAY Leshure falls to 1.09 and why would you not just take Williams or Leshure at 1.03 since you need a RB so badly and you only start 2 WRS so there's no way you sit nicks or megatron.
Plus why would you want to down grade finley to get Little who will just sit on your bench every week except for bye weeks?

Completely agree. Leave Helu for someone else.

So the team trying to get Finley offered me Jstew for Finley and 1.3...I am hurting big time at RB...does this make sense or do I stay pat, keep Finley and take a risk on Ryan Williams at 1.3?

he has 1.07 and 1.09 but has said he would not trade them in this deal.
