1.01 Draft Tomorrow

Postby valfilm » Sat Apr 27, 2019 7:53 pm

I have the 1.01 in a non SF draft tomorrow. I am torn between Jacobs and Harry. It is dynasty so I want best player available.

In all the mock drafts Jacobs is going #1 in the forum. However, most of writers have Harry #1 in the overall rookie rankings. Where is the disconnect?

I am against the grain and I like Montgomery more than Jacobs..
that is a tough decision for sure..but I would probably go with Harry...
but since it is close, I would defer to team need
team 1 -start QB RB 2WR TE 2RB/WR 1WR/TE
qbs=5pt tds wr/te=1 ppr rbs=.5ppr all get .25ppc
mahomes, Dan Jones
kamara, mack, lindsay, AP/love,Jaylen, Pollard, McKissic
antonio, AJG, thielen, sutton, kirk, Hurd, JJAW, Slayton, Gage
Hooper, Herndon, Griffin, Dissly
team 2 -start QB 2RB 3WR TE 2Flex K D
Cousins, Jimmy GQ, Brissett
DHenry, DJ, DFreeman, McKinnon, Samuels, Darwin Thompson
Hopkins, Diggs, Adams, Sutton,Jo Brown, Boyd, ]JJAW, Harmon, Preston Williams
Andrews, Herndon, Fant
team 3-superflex/TE premium 1-2QB 1-6RB 2-7WR 1-6TE (10 total)
R/W=.2ppc/1ppr/.25pt per target TE=1.5ppr/.35per target/.15per yd
also .1pt per return yd/.05 per attempt
Josh Allen,Jones
Cook/Latavius, Chubb, Sanders, White
Lockett, Kupp, Watkins, Jo Brown, Slayton, Preston Williams, Isabella, Hurd, Patterson, Funchess/Cain, Agholor

I think the majority have Jacobs as the #1. Me personally I’m not a huge fan and have Harry as my #1 and Sanders as my top RB.

Really, it just depends on team need and situation. If you need a WR or RB, fill the need as they are a coin flip. If you are in a complete rebuild and need both, I'd go with Harry

Practice Squad: AJ Brown, Fant, Diontae Johnson, Preston Williams, Jakobi Meyers

Jacobs for me. Worst case scenario, you would still be able to trade him next offseason for good value. His value should hold pretty steady, so to me, in an “odd ball” rookie class, he makes the most sense.

Go with your gut man. You have to live with the decision. You are just as much of an expert and all these writers and pundits out there trying to make a living playing fantasy football.

TEAM A - 12 teams (19 R/U, 18 Champ, 17 R/U)
BREES, Tua, Jimmy G
COOK/JACOBS/BELL, Dobbins, Swift, Gurley, Dillon, D Washington, Gio, Gallman
NUK/HILL/EVANS/GOLLADAY/K ALLEN, Jeudy, Hilton, Ruggs, Edelman, Wims
KITTLE, Waller, Gesicki, Akins
Not listing my IDP, but they matter as much as offense in this league. The Bosa Bros, D-Buck, and Cam Jordan are my main studs.
TEAM B - 32 teams, double copy - TEs get slight bump in scoring
DARNOLD, Herbert, J Love, Cam, Brissett, Tyrod
SAQUON/MIXON/CHUBB, Gordon, D Freeman, Gallman, L Miller
NUK/EVANS/OBJ/K ALLEN/THIELEN, Lamb, Hollywood, Landry, Edelman
KITTLE/ENGRAM, Ian Thomas, Akins, D Walker
Danielle Hunter, Aaron Donald, and Chris Jones are the cornerstones of my IDP squad. LBs and DBs are rag tag for now.

If I had 1.01 anywhere I’d be trading it, I have little gap between 1.01 and 1.04-1.05 this year

My opinion on who to take: my 1.01 has been Harry for months, through out the combine and draft I haven’t had a reason to drop him. I’ll admit that I was far cooler on Jacobs than most but he’s climbed up to 2-3. Not sure if I’m letting consensus woo me or I just heated up on him. But, I don’t have to worry my earliest pick is 1.08 anywhere
my main league, half PPR, all TDs 6, -3 for INT
14 team
start 1QB, 1RB, 2WR, 1TE, 2WRT. keep 20 *adding SF and more keepers 2021

WR: J Smith-Schuster, M Thomas, AJ Brown, A Cooper, M Pittman, A Miller, K Coutee, S Sims
TE. T Kelce, I Thomas, M Gesicki, A Okwugbunam

2021: 1, 1, 2, 3, 4
