Made the move to trade Tyreek Hill, how bad is it?

Baker Mayfield

I received:

Amari Cooper
Sammy Watkins
Dak Prescott

I was ready to be rid of Hill. Love the talent but i just didnt want to put up with it anymore. This is a 1 QB league so Baker was going to be sitting behind Mahomes for me more often than not. Not ideal but i made the move. Thoughts?

I don't like the deal at all. I'm not high on Ebron but Henry is still a question mark for me until we see how he comes back and he is now your starter. Even if Mayfield sat behind Mahomes for you, his value could continue to grow and who knows what offers may have come your way for him or you just don't worry about your QB position for a long time. Coleman could go either way but I feel you gave up way too much here. Hopefully Cooper puts it together in Dallas consistently. If Hill does come back, you could argue that you could have received all 3 players for Hill straight up. To me you gave away a couple high valued players in this deal for nothing. I could totally understand waiting to move Hill however as an owner to be safe just in case.

Getting Cooper still gives you arguably a top 25 dynasty asset which is great. Hopefully you keeps trending up for you! And who knows, after the 3 PM press conference today, this deal could look much different.

You gambled on bad news at the press conference and lost. It wasn't a bad gamble, but unfortunately it didn't work out well for you. The league can still suspend Hill for a few games, but I'm guessing his dynasty value will begin rebounding now that an indefinite ban is off the table for now.

Totally agree and i actually didnt even know there was any kind of news conference planned. Had i known, i would have held. I wouldnt have kept the deal in place if they came out and arrested him right after the trade was accepted. Just wouldnt have been right but thats just me.

Its not pretty. But luckily your team was solid enough to take the hit and still be in good shape. Also, at least you got a considerable return. The people really kicking themselves are the ones who sold him for peanuts. Im sure there were at least a few. Lol. I wouldnt lose any sleep over it man!

Tyreek already has two strikes against him with domestic violence and possible child abuse. There was no evidence to charge him but they believe a crime was committed. I believe a suspension is coming and I think it is only a matter of time before he is out of the league.

Agree with @PhillySpecial above. Hill likely to get a ban, conservatively 8 weeks I think, maybe as long as Peterson .I don't live trade but Cooper could take steps next year. If he adds consistency to his ceiling you should be good

Difference is A.P. admission of guilt. No admission much less proof of guilt by Hill. Could be grandstanding by DA to gain public sentiment in next election. That's NEVER happened before

Hill will probably appeal any suspension and should get support of NFLPA unless we think it is ok to convict without evidence. We still have NO IDEA how the child's injury occurred. Should league get private info or Tyreek reveal details to THE SHIELD that reflect poorly then a suspension is definitely coming.
