Kittle for 1.01

This is the place for team advice - should I make this trade, should I draft that player, etc.

Kittle for 1.01

Postby afrye1 » Mon Apr 22, 2019 11:10 am

Team 2 in sig

I’ve been back and forth with the 1.01 owner all offseason trying to get more out of him for Kittle, who he loves. The most I’ve been able to get him to offer is 1.01 and a 2020 3rd. Most of the time I would pass but this is the absolute best offer I’ve been able to field for him. I also think I could sell the 1.01 for more especially if I can get this done before the NFL draft. I really need a RB but I feel 1.01 would be too high for one this year. I have 1.07 and 1.10 right now. Should I stand pat where I am or pull the trigger?

Edit: I’m also in talks with the Barkley owner. The talks are around Barkley for David Johnson, 1.07,1.10,2.09 and a 2020 first(I have three). I feel like it’s a lot to pay but probably the going rate. It’s probably too much to pay for my team needs right now though.

I think i would take that. No one pays for TEs period. Sure you could miss on 1.01, but if 1.01 becomes OBJ/Julio/AB etc 1.01 will massively out value kittle. As good as say Kelce and Ertz are, they are no where near as valuable as top RB/WRs

Yes, with having Engram I think passing on the 1.01 and holding Kittle is not a great decision even in this class.

Call me crazy, but in a 1QB league, I'm keeping Kittle > 1.01. I'd rather sell Henry or Howard for a mid 1st.

You either believe Kittle is elite or not though. If you don't think so, the 1.01 is a pretty decent offer value-wise.

I would definitely try to cash in on Kittle as he has some major regression coming his way. I agree with the above that this may be the best offer you will get. After the draft you can evaluate if trading down from that pick is the way to go or stay and draft Jacobs or Sanders.

Sorry man, totally looked at the wrong team. I'm a big Howard believer and with Henry and Hooper, I think you are in good shape at TE. The 1.01 as you mentioned should fetch a solid package as we get closer to the draft. I think the value is solid if you can flip the pick or if you like someone at 1.01 more than Kittle. The picture might get a bit more clear post NFL draft.

It's tricky.
Because a week from now logic dictates that the 1.01 will go up in value once a few of the top tier guys land in an ideal scenarios via the draft and separate from the pack.

Don't trade Kittle for a 1.01 in this draft, none of the players in this draft are top tier prospects, at least, not to me. If Saquon, Gurley, Fournette were the 1,01, sure make the trade. I say hope OJ or Henry have great start, then sell them off for a number one next year or an RB this year if that is what you want. OJ and Henry are still dart tosses at this point and Arians isn't exactly know to rely heavily on the TE position.
