Trade offer - A lil’ help?

Trade offer - A lil’ help?

Postby BRunner » Wed Apr 17, 2019 3:45 pm

For Team one in sig, I’ve been offered the following trade:
Hunt, Lindsay, and ESB
for my
Cohen, DJ Moore, and Pettis

I’m in rebuild, offerer is in win now mode. I feel the offer is a late 1st/early 2nd light so if I counter, I’d ask for his 2020 1st (which would likely be late) and swap out ESB for Allison since I like his upside more.

Am I in the ballpark or better off keeping what I have?
QB: Rodgers, Darnold
RB: Chubb, Cohen, Lewis, Breida, Montgomery, Grant, Richard, Samuels, Ozigbo
WR: M Thomas (NO), Diggs, Coutee, Mike Williams, DJ Moore, Harry, AJ Brown, Enunwa, Foster, Westbrook, Pettis, R Grant, Gabriel, Quinn, D Johnson
TE : Njoku, Hockenson, Eifert
2020 Picks: RD1, RD2, RD3, RD4

12-Team, 28 Man Roster (includes 2 Taxi/2 IR), 10 Starters (1QB/2-4RB/2-5WR/1-4TE), 1 pt PPR (TE 1.25)

QB: Stafford, Rosen, Lock
RB: Chubb, Hunt, McKinnon, Bernard, Barber, Ballage; Devy: Akers, Hubbard
WR: AJG, Adams, Allen, Marv Jones, Enunwa, Allison, Coutee, Foster, DT, A Wilson, R. James, Seth Roberts, Metcalf, Harmon; Devy: T Johnson
TE: Walker, Shaheen, Dissley, Arnold, Warring
K:
DEF: Jaguars, Vikings
2020 Picks: RD1, RD3, RD4, RD5

12-Team SuperFlex Devy League, 32 Man Roster (includes 4 Taxi/Devy, 4 IR), 12 Starters Best Ball (QB1-2, RB2-5, WR3-6, TE1-4, K1, DEF1), 1 pt PPR (TE 1.5)

Tough call. I think you need the RB help and this could be a nice buy low on Hunt IF you think he will bounce back in 2020. Moore's value is very high right now so it seems the value is on the other owners side. I think this comes down to how you view Lindsay long term. If you are planning on rebuilding as mentioned for sure, I would not make this deal. Moore could be a nice piece to help jump start a rebuild.

I think you gotta stay put if you’re in rebuild those are al, young guys you can use as pieces of your rebuild and they are pretty good pieces as well.
Just my opinion

if you're rebuilding, I'd keep the receivers, look to move Green & jones either now or at the deadline.

WR: Amari Cooper, Adam Thielen, Antonio Brown, Will Fuller, DeDe Westbrook, Robby Anderson, Marquise Goodwin, Justin Watson, Albert Wilson, Greg Dortch
TE: Travis Kelce, Vance McDonald, Kyle Rudolph, Delanie Walker, Ian Thomas, Gerald Everett

Thanks for your response but this is for the wrong team. I already have M Thomas, Diggs, Mike Williams, Coutee in addition to Moore and Pettis and 1.02, 1.04, and 1.06, with at least two of those picks being WRs. I’m definitely less set at RB which in combination with a weak rookie RB class has me considering my stated counter offer.

Let’s not kid ourselves hunt is gonna be useless for this year so if you’re making the trade for this year he’s a non factor. If you’re making it for next year then maybe but honestly I’d stay put I think Cohen is better than Lindsay and you’re giving away two really good young wrs in Pettis and Moore for what’ll be a career 4th wr in ESB. Don’t bother with this trade stay with what you have you could do damage to your team long term by making this trade

oh, my bad man. in that case it's definitely closer. that team doesn't look more than a Josh Jacobs or whatever away from contending to me, tbh. I wonder if you'd be better served to package up some of those picks with one of the receivers to get a real RB.

Even if Hunt comes back full strength, you will probably regret trading both DJ and Pettis further down the line. I would trade Mike Williams before either of them.

Give: Cohen, Williams

Get: Hunt, 2020 1st

If hes serious about competing this year, idk how he could not strongly consider doing this deal. The only reason would be if he had a better offer on the table. In which case maybe you add Coutee or something. I believe in Hunt so i dont think that would be an overpay. But Cohen, DJ and Pettis absolutely is imo (Lindsay doesnt do much for me long term and ESB is a major flier)

Maybe not terrible, but not that great and it’s why I threw out countering with Hunt side adding their 2020 1st and Allison instead of ESB.

Makes a lot of sense to me. If his team is legit Cohen/Williams would make very solid flexes. Im a big believer in Hunts talent. As long as he tows the line he should get another shot as a lead back. In which case Cohen/Williams would be a fair or even small price to pay for him alone. But since you're giving him two startable assets for one thats essentially unusable to him this year, you get a 2020 1st. Hopefully another solid player out of what should be a loaded draft.

I wouldn't be rebuilding, sounds like you really want Hunt though, why? I think you have a great young WR core, I would rather gamble on Cohen and Williams coming out hot during the season and use them as capital for the 2020 draft. Hunt has every cell phone in the world trained on him, I like his talent, but not that much.

I dont think Cohen gets any hotter than he is right now. Williams could but out of his receivers that would be enticing to me in a trade, he is my least favorite.

I guess sustained elite production isnt worth anything after an 8 game suspension. Lol
